Hello, I live in Turkey. Thank you for this beautiful video. I want to be friends with you with my love

Hey folk! I am from Turkey, Izmir. I can really suggest you to visit warm places like Antalya and Cesme/Alacati for turistic places. Also Mugla has very beautiful sea and you can see caretta caretta (sea turtles) in Iztuzu Beach since its a nesting place for them. Another turistic place is Kapadokya but everybody know there already. If you want to explore even more than you can try city called Rize in the north side for Ayder Yaylasi and Uzungol which has incredible forest nature and food (muhlama, sarma, local music and dance/horon). Also you can visit city called Van for its lake and incredibly rich breakfasts. I suggest wherever you go try Van breakfast which also there in the big cities like Istanbul (Moda Van Kahvalti). And dont forget to try raki (local alcohol) and local fresh fish (levrek/cipra) but you need to do it in a restaurant by the sea. These restaurants are called meyhane and they have very popular local and global sides E.g. Kopeoglu / Tekmil Fava / Borulce / Kalamar / Pacanga etc. You should also try some kebap in places like Mersinli Cigerci Apo which is very popular again for the different kind of sides. Actually there are also too many other delicious food to eat and even the local families can do some of them for you like Borek/Sarma/Manti etc. Our local non-alcoholic baverages are Ayran and Salgam which are salty liquid yougurt and spicy pickle juice respectfully and without pulps. Food culture is very rich in Turkey since its inherited from the Ottoman Empire and its sill very unknown for the globe. And it is for every taste whether you are vegan or non-vegan. There are also various types of deserts you should try like Baklava/Kunefe/Kazandibi. Well if you worry about weight gain then you can swimm for sport lol. I am wishing you the best travel byes!

They connected electricity and water to our caravan, served breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. We lived in Turkey for five years. We had four children and we all cried when we had to leave because our visas we're expiring. But the Turks won because they kept a good portion of our hearts with them. I breaks my heart to see how Western commerce is weaseling their way into their culture ( Macdonald's, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, etc.) . I hope that he Turks take advantage but do not allow those companies to change their culture. I hope that the Turkish government maintains a stance of allowing them to visit but not to own the land.

Here in Greece such companies have had a hard time competing with the local more traditional shops for the most part, and are mostly absent outside the capital. I say this because Turkey shares a lot with us in those regards to my understanding(cuisine etc), so they will probably stand strong, especially outside the biggest couple cities.

Thank you for making this video. As a Canadian who married a Turk (met in London) whose business was then destroyed by the measures so we ended up moving to Turkey, I have told so many people that Turkey is misrepresented and is actually one of the best kept secrets. The Canadian government has it as a red zone (do not go, high risk) on its website. Why?! I feel safer In Turkey than I ever did in London UK or Toronto or Vancouver. And the Turkish people are warm and loving. I love this country, which is now my home, and encourage everyone to visit. For your travels, I suggest Termessos, a high ancient ruin that is like walking through an Indiana Jones movie set, as the jungle has swallowed the fallen temples. I also suggest the area around Şırınçe, because it is a lot like Tuscany and has the preserved traditional Turkish houses that were mostly destroyed. Enjoy!

Unfortunately , the Western world have never been friendly to Turkey or to Turkish people. The West hates everything Islamic regardless if it is Sunni , Shiite , Ahmadi etc.. It is a historical hatred that will never be cleaned from their heart. We should not listen to what they say because our religion is the cleanest, and the most just not only to humanity but also to animals. I was so proud when I did a DNA test couple of years ago and found out that 47% of my DNA is Turkish. I was more proud when I also found out the Sultan Abdel Hamid the second , in 1912 , signed on our family tree that we are one of the noblest families in Palestine. I am myself from Turkey, I grew up there and I had the best childhood with my beautiful people. We are just misunderstood as Turks. The interesting thing about my country is that if you go to west you will feel the touches of European cultures combined with Turkish culture. If you go to the east you will feel the eastern aura and the beauty of the starry nights while sleeping on the roof. If you go north, you feel the cold and aggressive waves of the Black Sea hitting the high cliffs and the greenest forests being home for bears and deers . If you go to the south you will get a good sunburn and see the nights full of dance and music. But the hospitality never changes. On the whole, they have a very low opinion of Turks, rarely eat Turkish food, drink Turkish coffee, or make much effort to speak the language. It's quite sad to see, some spend most of the time complaining about the prices, the weather (it's either too hot, too cold or too wet) or the Turks in general. They are paranoid about getting ripped off or robbed. Whenever I go there, I always make an effort to speak as much Turkish as I can, spend as little time as possible at places frequented by Brits, and eat at places the locals eat in. This is why you will never get mugged in Turkey, because they will rob you another way. But to be fair, I think this is just how British people are, because they do the same thing in Spain. They set up their own little enclaves, and don't even bother learning Spanish. So I think this is just how they are. It's funny though, because these the same people who complain that immigrants don't assimilate in their country. I LOVE the English by the way, but I am simply stating facts here.

I 1000% agree with you. Thanks for getting a positive picture and bringing this video to the world. I personally love Turkiye and recently visited this May. The western media does not like Turkiye and I knew it from get go. First time I visited Turkiye in 2014 I compared my notes both on history and culture from Turkish Islamic vs western media perspectives. They are day and night apart. It’s not only the places are beautiful and rich in history, no where in my life I have met such friendly and helpful people. I am still connected with many who I had no idea who they were before my visit, but we chat and talk to each other despite language barriers.

Im an Australian born with Turkish heritage and you have hit the nail on the head. As a predominantly Muslim country, Turkey is very unique and never do I know that religion is the forefront but rather hospitality and humility. Although as the years go by the social construct of the community is changing like any country. I am very happy that you have met and experience the true essence of real Turkish kindness and hospitality. Smiles

nearly everywhere in Turkey there is a place worth to see.... visit the Lavender- and Rosefields near Isparta. Go to Cappadocia. See Konya and the famous Mevlana Museum, tomb of Rumi. Take a ship at the Daylan Delta to the famous Iztuzu beach and swim with the turtles. See the oldest temple at Göbekli Tepe, Van in the East of Turkey with its lake and the unique white cats with a blue and an orange eye, Mardin, city of three religions. Go to the North and feel as like beeing in Switzerland, see the Sümela monastery and so many more places....

But Turkyie happened to be one of the best places l have visited until now, with the most loving and caring people, open minded ones either. I loved Istanbul and Kapadokya even more, such unique places 💗. Ofc there are bad sides there like everywhere, but their hospitality is amazing and it feels like one of the safest countries for me. I am happy for your experience. I am English and have lived in South West Turkey for 22 years. All of your observations are accurate. When at the beginning I worked in tourism I would always say to guests on holiday, that although they may have felt sceptical at first, their experiences would guarantee their return! Too many places of interest and beauty to list here for the adventurer, while all areas are diverse and different, but you will always receive a welcome wherever you visit. Good luck and enjoy your travels

In 2019 , My family and I went to Istanbul for 3 weeks and we loved it. I felt we were home. Therefore, In Sha'Allah after I retire I will be moving from USA to Turkey.

O yüzden doğusundan batısına, kuzeyinden güneyine belli şehirler seçip (gezilecek, görülecek yerleri diğerlerinden daha fazla olan) gezmek daha doğru olur ülkemizdeki güzellikleri tanımak için.
