I love the swoops. I cannot believe you made 2 swoops with one strip! I am really impressed! I just sort of default to sacrificing whole strip per swoop when I do them, which is why I don't do them very much!

I love that swimming has been so helpful for you. I used to do VanLife and was in the PNW in December of 2020, living in my 1993 Chevy Suburban, remote camping in the mountains. With wet hair in the cold, I would suggest getting a towel specifically for your hair that wraps and has the little loop to help it stay on. Put an old cotton Tshirt around your wet hair, and then the hair towel wrap thingie over that after swimming. It will absorb a lot more water without having to use heat or rub it with your towel for 10,000 years. Comb/brush it out with a wide tooth comb or even with your fingers whatever, which helps it get more air to continue air drying, and wrap it in just the towel wrap again, and then put a big chunky knit stocking cap over the towel wrap for going home. I know it will probably feel silly, but to everyone else, they won't know that you have a towel under your stocking cap. They will assume you have your hair all tucked up inside it. People who veil (hijabs and tichels and turbans and stuff like that) use volumizers a lot under their headscarves. I've seen people use leggings and t-shirts and all sorts of crap under their scarves to just create volume. And your towel will be serving a higher purpose than just for fashion, though there is nothing wrong with that either. 🤣 I promise you've seen these people and not known they were wearing leggings on their heads. 😉 No one will know or care if they do know. The towel wrap creates a lot of air pockets under the cap that traps extra body heat to keep wet heads warm. 😉 I don't own a hair dryer or a curling iron or even heated curlers. And I only bought a flat iron to reseal my CS sets. I have ultra virgin hair under my scarves that rarely ever even sees hair product of any type other than shampoo and conditioner. I get it! These helped me stay warm with wet hair while living in a vehicle and showering at Planet Fitness.

@@VensVibrantNailsandBeauty I didn't know they made hats that were that big. I need to find a hat that's that big! I was going to stuff all of my hair in a wool hat but it would only fit my hair if that. Do you know what those hats are called? The big ones you're talking about?

@blackcat799 I'm a big fan of Etsy because you can talk with the sellers about how big you want or if you'd like extra length for your hair/towel. I literally type in "big chunky knit stocking caps" into Google or Etsy or Amazon and come up with a ton of stuff to choose from.

@blackcat799 Also, hats and caps and tubes intended for people who have locs are a great option if you want a ton of room. Some of them are super long and I think a more daring person could wear them as a tube top mini dress! 🤣

I inow that you have probably now done your evaluation since you've filmed this. I hope things well and the drive went well also.

The drive was fine too and back. The funny thing is is that it snowed like the next day up there so I'm glad that we went up the day that we did. The evaluation wasn't very much fun, but it did show some useful things that I think will be helpful in the future. Like apparently I have absolutely no balance with my eyes closed. And apparently that's normal for my condition.
