Well- that will partly depend on the thread you choose and how dense (close together) you place your loops. Once stitched and cut, trim to the desired length and take a Bunka Brush and fluff it up. You could possible use a toothbrush or a small wire dog brush- but the needlepoint tool designed for this is called a Bunka Brush!! I hope that helps.
