Chantal was all for euthanizing BBJ as a way to escape responsibility saying the cat was elderly. FFG rescued that cat from being euthanized and when BBJ was taken to the vet by FFG, the vet documented that BBJ had issues due to being "neglected" such as tons of matts in her unkempt fur & nails so long that they were growing into the pads of her feet, which made the poor kitty walk with a limp because of the pain. This is why everyone says Chantal is a vile animal abuser.

I literally can’t bring myself to clip my fur-baby’s nail’s, but I make sure he’s got PLENTY to scratch on so he can manicure them himself! I had tried once and he was SO betrayed, so I just invested in high-quality scratchy stuff for him. His nails haven’t been a problem since! It’s THAT easy to take care of.

@@HavianElato b fair sometimes cats won’t scratch. It’s rare but my mom had this one tiny little abandoned runt she adored and hand raised but she never scratched her cat trees. She got an embedded nail and mom took her to the vet. They couldn’t explain it but they clipped her nails. A few weeks later mom noticed the cat still isn’t scratching anything regardless of what she buys or does to encourage this cat. So for the rest of this animals life we’d frequently take her to vets and groomers for annual nail clipping because we tried everything else but she never scratched. Didn’t want to clip her ourselves and make a mistake though. Only cat that ever did that it was wild. But the entire family pitched in and kept an eye on this cats paws.

I didn't know cats nails could grow into their paws. Many years ago I tried clipping my then-kittens nails. Not a task I should have attempted alone, as she squirmed and moved around a lot in her efforts to escape me. I accidentally ended up over-trimming one of her nails, gave up on doing the rest and have never clipped any of my cats nails since. The guilt that week (and still to this day when I think back on it) as she limped around nursing her paw...it was awful for both of us. She's no longer with us (this happened about 19, 20 years ago) and I now have a a couple hypoallergenic Siberian kittens who seem to have issues with getting poo stuck on their fluffy butts, which sometimes requires scissors to get out, and the kitties squirm about. I'm very careful, but have been considering contacting the local groomer to see what they'd charge to trim the fluffy bums. Knowing now that their nails can also become an issue (though they do enjoy scratching their posts as well as my couch and carpet) I really hope the prices are fair 🙏 Oddly, my short-haired boy is the one who gets the most mats. They come seemingly out of nowhere and some take a lot of work to get out. When they get close to the skin, I really gotta be careful. He doesn't like this form of grooming, though, so there have been times where a big clump can take a few days and repeated efforts to get out. Gotta work with him on these, y'know, otherwise I might hurt him by accident

Rehoming was the last option. First she tried to starve her so the vet would agree she was old and needed put down. She wanted the cat dead, not rehomed. Pestering members of Gorl World kept that cat alive and FFG saved her life. The cat is now happy, healthier than she's ever been, and she gets regular vet care for her arthritis treatments and kidney problems. She currently has a new puppy in the house she has claimed as her son ❤

She hid cat food from peetz and a viewer ended up sending in food so the cat could eat. The cat had treatable conditions and she ignored BBJs cries and let her suffer in pain for months. She took her to the vet once due to pressure from viewers and was supposed to take her for a follow up, but it never happened and the cat was left to suffer. Once she decided on going to Kuwait, her plan was to take BBJ to the vet and with the cat having not eaten she would appear really sick and the vet would put her to sleep. Once the cat was with FFG all the neglect and abuse she had put that cat through was documented. She neglected that cat to the point of abuse and should have been prosecuted for it.

FB had been talking about bringing bbj to the vet for an “end of life consultation” just because she’s “old and sick” but when ffg got her, it was uncovered that bbj was underweight, had a raging UTI, kidney disease, arthritis, hypothyroidism, mats in her fur that were so bad bbj’s skin was caught in them and the vet originally thought they were tumors, and her nails were so overgrown that they were growing into the pads of her feet, and she couldn’t walk normally because of it. The cat got treatment and is happy and healthy now, and Chantal can burn in hell 🥰

I mean, maaaaaybe if she were an addict in the process of recovery. *Maybe* But a large proportion of people think addicts deserve whatever hardships they suffer with, because they "brought it on themselves" & "no one is *MAKING* them do drugs", etc etc There's a LOT of contempt for addicts - I even remember back in the day, if you had Narcan on you when getting stopped & frisked by the cops, they would destroy the (very expensive!) kits the outreach groups were handing out to addicts, so that there was a chance to keep your buddy from dying if they OD'd. I remember that if you ever find someone OD'd, you're supposed to say "I found someone on the floor/ground & they aren't breathing" when you call 911 - this is to hopefully minimize the chance of the cops arriving too, and also to make sure the EMTs didn't take their sweet time getting to an OD, because a sizeable group seem to think addicts deserve to die. (Umm, you can't even TRY to get better if you're DEAD. People don't just wake up one day & decide, "Hey, you know what sounds like a fun & viable lifeplan? Sticking this needle in my arm & pushing a chemical that was literally in the digestive tract of *AT LEAST* one person & could easily kill me through it & directly into my veins!" You're not well & thinking clearly when you're an addict, ffs!) The very idea that Chantal thinks she would get more understanding/sympathy/money/compassion if she were a heroin addict vs a food addict is...laughable at best.

I had a friend in high school who lived in a group home because her mother was a violent alcoholic. The only time I went to hang out with her at the home I was kissed and groped (against my will) by an older boy. My Dad spent that evening on the phone yelling at the foster parents who ran the place and I never went back there again. Other than the BBj and Sam situation this was a great and well researched video. You did a great job of covering the essence of who Chantal is in a manageable and unbiased way. Regarding the cats, there was no rehoming program as far as we know. Chantal tortured her audience for months joking about having bbj put down and even saying "im rehoming my cats to a woodchipper" lots of viewers offered to take bbj in and FFG offered chantal money ($1k and $3k the second time) and to sign an NDA for chantal to give bbj to her. Chantal refused and continued to threaten to have bbj euthanized. Viewers saw bbj limping in the background of videos and chantal herself said she "cried" all night but refused to take her to the vet. The last time she did bbj was found to have claws that were so overgrown they were embedded in her paw pads. Due to the backlash from even the idea of putting bbj down she finally agreed to rehome her and basically picked who she thought was an invalid bed bound viewer. Turned out the viewer "Amy Flowers" was comnected to FFG and had been a last ditch back up plan to save bbj in case the direct approach failed. Bbj was taken to the vet within 24 hrs of being in ffgs possession where she was found to again have claws embedded in her paw pads along with a multitude of medical issues. Ffg took on the financial aspect of bbjs care but she isnt a cat person so bbj lives with her brother as far as we know and as of today has had all her medical issues (other than her teeth) either cured or managed. Its how chantal earned the moniker animal abuser. Unfortunately chantal hamdled Sams rehoming herself as he was younger and seemingly easier to rehome. She 1st claimed sam was given to a family friend then it changed to someone her mom knewbon social media then became a foster situation where the person could no longer keep sam, then he was fosterdto someone else who decided to adopt him. Hopefully Sam is ok and in a loving home but who knows?

Imma keep it real with all of you, food addiction and binge eating disorder really does suck. I'm speaking from personal experience and I got to 350 and after a few years I'm down to 250 and if you're curious this is about how it is I'll tell you. Imagine you're hungry and then you eat. You never feel satiated until you feel like you're about to bust, but you didn't eat all your food and a few minutes later you'll go "I think I can finish that," so you go and peck at it, rinse and repeat until it's done. Then if you feel so much as a pocket of air you'll eat again and again, there are no leftovers, there is no portion control. It's kinda like going down a hill in a car with bad brakes, you'll be lucky to stop when you want to and it's rare that happens.

Psychology and neuropsychology are fields that are only beginning to expand, I wouldn’t be surprised if we checked her hormones and found them crazily imbalances. Risk factors and protective factors exist: if the patient has certain attributes that can potentially serve as resources to combat addiction(s), those are protective factors. The opposite of protective factors are risk factors, such as a mental illness or a personality disorder. Latter is a fundamental change in behavior that develops early in life, rooted in genetics and adverse life experiences, and most of the time these can only be managed, not cured or medicated like some other mental illnesses. They are akin to developmental disorders in that sense. Chantal's personality seems wired for seeking short-term satisfaction with no consideration for long-term effects. Her addiction doesn't seem specific to just food, either. Her entire personality seems disordered in a fundamental way where she seems to prioritize acting upon impulses with no consideration for ramifications. Like previous comments have suggested, this is common in impulse control disorders and certain personality disorders characterized by impulsivity (e.g. borderline and antisocial personality disorder). There are several hypotheses as to what might cause addiction on a neurobiological level, but let's not get into that. Either way, the human psyche is a complex interplay of processes that do involve spiritual beliefs like the ones you seem to be referencing (?). Spiritual beliefs can serve as cognitive resources that can aid an addict in recovery, promoting a sense of self-efficacy, self-esteem, a sense of purpose, hope, etc. However, there are numerous other factors that might hinder recovery, and depending on the substance of choice and the person's medical / psychiatric history, there can be psychological, neurobiological and frankly even physiological processes at play. This is not to erase the role of determination and personal choice in recovery, of course, but in certain cases, you can practically give up hope that the person will turn their life around on their own, or even with help. This is often but not always due to personal shortcomings, sometimes it's due to a lack of inherent lack of insight into their own condition (casued by mental illness or simply a lack of intellect) or due to other problems, like a lack of impulse control, which can have different causes. I am not Chantal's doctor nor do I know where the other commenters got her "diagnoses", all I'm saying is that blaming someone for a "lack of determination/commitment" over their disordered behavior (including addiction) doesn't ALWAYS get you to the root of the problem. Regardless of Chantal's specific case (which I'm not an expert in), addressing possible causes other than personal shortcomings only isn't "downplaying character flaws", it's a multifaceted approach aimed at understanding. It can also help manage your own expectations towards addicts, and from what I'm seeing, a lot of these people forming parasocial relationships with "online addicts" could truly benefit from being able to weigh up a person's true capability of change. (Not that most of them seem to be rooting for said online addicts' recovery, though. They mostly just seem interested in watching a person's downward spiral.)

This is all documented.) she's now using my culture as some sort of costume, and pretending she's a complete changed person.
