It is a visual reminder of a DIFFERENT society, not a declining one. The Internet has caused this change by supplying products directly to buyers and cutting out the physical middlemen (other than those which double up as parcel collection points). As a Brit who spends most of the time living in Türkiye, I often use authentic barbers over there. They are usually elderly, very experienced gentlemen who give you the best haircut and facial. That is, provided you can speak enough of the language to be understood. However, when I've used "Turkish Barbers" in the UK, I've found them to be young and usually Kurdish from Iran or Iraq. They don't give the same experience as the genuine article and certainly nothing better than a trained British barber.

Barber's, European convenience stores, nail bar's and coffee shops. All laundering money in some way or form, along with selling drugs, and cigarettes from different countries. Most of the worker's in these stores have higher end mercedes, BMW or range rovers.

In our local town (20000 pop) we went from 4 Barbers in 2019 to 12 now and the prices went up by about 50% very little competition but some of the ones that were there in 2019 are much quieter. It's got a lot to do with the beard craze and they all seem to know what they are doing but nearly all of them have moved to the UK in the last 5 years

Hello Stephen from sunny Malaga, love the Chanel but bloody hell im getting depressed looking at some of the shenanigans going on in our once wonderful country. I’m back in the Fylde on Sunday “unfortunately” just one TB in Lytham at this stage

Its started to happen outside London to. Inside London theres a few who are honest businesses but even they will only accept cash, some dont even have tills,or dont use the tills for their exchanges ,so they're probably holding back on the tax.
