Hi Yasin. Would u recommend me to learn some turkish vocabulary first before getting into yours videos? To be honest I don't even remember how I learned to speak english because I never had a teacher nor went to a english school, I just learned it by my own and I find Turkish a bit difficult. I would aprecciate your advice!

to me Turkish is like Russian Language. So, first watch series in Turkish that will help you get familiar with sounds of words in turkish and then watch same series couple more times which help you learn some expressions in Turkish when you learn by listening you will not forget them I can bet you !! This is how ı learned some russian phrases. Do not worry aobut making mistakes . mistakes will take you further in finding correct use of words and sentences as long as you are patient. then practice what you learn with Turkish people online if you can or in person . all about how lucky you are ... There is one more thing Turkish people want to speak English if they find a foreigner. so you can exchange practicing by doing Turkish - English practice. Hope it helps...

Hey. What Mr. Yasin Durak advised you is absolutely correct. You learn few greetings and vocabularies and then do watch Turkish series. I watch 2 drama series that's currently very famous and what I learned has helped me improve my basics. Specially greetings, vocabs... I am a beginner. I am a French and English speaker. Anyway hope it helps.

I went to good English schools but there I just motivated to learn English and not teach by finger holding. In a government institute I was encouraged deeply to write,speak and read English to the next level. So there we need just Motivation and encouragement but the enthusiasm surely you will get from Series of its own language. It is indispensable to pour tons and tons of the language concerned words of its native speakers.

Thanks for all of your videos. After studying Turkish for some time, I believe that in order to speak like a Turk one must think like a Turk. Could you explain these few confusing pronoun examples from a Turkish perspective? 1. Benim kedim var. I have a cat. Why BENIM (my) possessive adjective, mülkiyet sífatí, and not BEN (I), personal pronoun, kisi zamiri? Can it be explained in a Turkish perspective as, My (BENIM) cat exist? 2. Onların gelmelerini istiyoruz. We want them to come. Why ONLARIN (their), possessive adjective, mülkiyet sıfatı, and not ONLARI (them), object pronoun, nesnel hal? Could be explained almost direct Turkish translation and from a Turkish perspective as We want their coming?

I have got .... it has three different sayinigs in Turkish which actually means the same things. 1. Ben...... sahibim. I own .... 2. Benim ..... var I have got .... 3. Ben de .....var. I have got.... with me maybe those above menatinoed translations help you to give you a bit clear information... if you enter Turkish Grammar world, it is gonna be pretty complicated.. I would suggest you get it the way Turkish native speaker use... I hope I don't disappoint you with this expalnation... Let's turn to your sentence; 1. I have a cat. You can say it in 3 different ways to give "I have got" meaninng in Turkish.... 1. Ben bir kediye sahibim. 2. Benim bir kedim var. 3. Ben de bir kedi var. On daily basis, we prefer the sentence in number 2 . Other example; Onların gelmelerini istiyoruz. We want them to come. Let us break it down now: We want.... Biz istiyoruz. They come: Onlar gelirler.. We want them.... Onları istiyoruz. We want them to come. Onları-N gelmelerini istiyoruz. - N : this letter is I guess connecting word in the sentence to complete the meaning. So , it is better to say; We want them to come: Onları-N gelme-LER- ini istiyoruz. another example; I want you ... seni istiyorum. I want you to stay: Seni-N kalmanı istiyorum.... We use connecting letters or suffixes to to complete the meaning... Well, ı will work a bit more on it to help you all learn it better and uoplaod a new lesson for it soon....

i have a doubt with words karim /eş are both valid to say wife??? or what is the difference between them ... eşime ( is making reference to other person wife or his own wife)?? thx for the help
@YSN596
@YSN596 5 жыл бұрын
My wife in Turkish can be said in two ways which are true. Eşim or Karım. However; As I know, We do not say "Karım" in public or relations but you may probably hear it in movies. probably old style. "Eşime " means for my wife or to my wife. exapmle: What did you buy for your wife.? Eşine ne aldın? I gave it to my wife? Onu eşime verdim. so, prepositions " to and for" can mean same in Turkish whereas different in English. hope clear for you :)

sana seviyorum not correct... say : seni seviyorum. If the answer in the sentence is with transitive verb to the question of Neyi or Kimi then use all the time Seni instead of Sana ... example: Seni burada bırakacağım.
