Wow!!! Thank you so much! Ran across your videos today and I'm really learning alot. My family and I just moved here and especially renting apartment is giving me major stress. Reading real estate law for turkey has helped some but I don't look forward to sitting down and going over contract. Your advice is to get a translator correct? For this and ikamet? Been hesitant because I have seen outrageous prices they ask. Again thanks. Will be watching all videos.

last June/July, I bought different 100% cotton Turkish towel & bath robe in Kas, Izmir & Pamukkali, depending on the design/thickness, the price range from 35Lira to 50Lira (i think) I remember in Pamukkali, in a market like this, off the tourist spots, I paid about $50 for 4 cotton bath robes. I ship my souvenir home, it arrive about 1 month later, it's almost like instant Christmas :) I absolutely love their towels, the thin types air dry in 2 hours, perfect for travel. I also use it as a shawl, blanket etc. Try to but souvenir outside Istanbul if you can, you will get a better price since the rents in Istanbul are much much higher, I got this tip from a Turkish girl whom I met in Rhodes.

Hello mike & Trudie, thank you for your amazing videos I am a Dutch citizen living in Abudhabi UAE, planning to retire in Turkey three years from now. Can you make a video about pets? pet food prices, vets prices, bringing your pets from foreign countries to Turkey, adopting pets, where are they allowed where they are not, etc? Haven't seen anyone walking a dog in any of your videos :) also, social life and dating for over 50 in Turkey? Gosh, I have so many questions, keep your lovely videos coming cheers!

The prices are not bad as long as the whole family works. Yes a single min wage income will not be enough to look after a family. Also wanted to add that these prices are in the tourists areas. It's a lot cheaper prices in the normal neighborhoods.
