And, even if you get the visa after all the documentation, health check, background check, security checks, paying hefty fees, interviews and after 5 to 10 years, border police at the airport can deny your entry without even give you any reason.

As a Turkish citizen I would like to make some things clear! Turkey is currently hosting 6+ million documented migrants and refuges which is 2. highest number after America. They believe there are 3+ million undocumented migrants and refuges living in Turkey. All are from these countries down below: 1. Syria 2. Iraq 3. Afghanistan 4. Pakistan 5. Russia 6. Ukraine 7. Palestine 8. Israel 9. Egypt 10. Iran The issue is that, these migrants real destination is also US. They use Turkey like using a transfer station. So they are applying for US Visa using the Embassy in Turkey. Because of these people US Embassy stopped its visa services in Turkey. I, as a foreigner Student in Germany, wanted to study in US but because of this issue it takes too long to apply for a US visa in Turkey. Even for the education visa! I applied to German University and going to study here. Maybe for Masters I will apply to MIT. Turkish people aren't like these other immigrants. We also suffer from the same immigrant migrating to US. We can't apply for Visa. My brother was a lucky guy. He applied before the migrant Crisis in Turkey and got 10 years long Education Visa. After 4 years I tried applying to US Education Visa to study but Germany was faster. Our borders are also like US borders. Open and everyone is crossing it illegal ways.
