In 2019, she repeated the success, won the Grand Prix on the TV show "You are super! Superseason." with the songs "Blizzard" (Russian), "Wicked Game" (English), "Human" (English). Recordings of Diana's performances on the show "You're super!" posted on KZbin (copyright of the NTV channel). Diana continues her career as a pop singer, gives concerts in Russian cities, studies at the State Institute of Theater Arts. Diana Ankudinova has an official Internet channel on KZbin. Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel and other techniques from classical singing and opera..). The one that seems to amaze you the most is the polyphonic voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result. This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya, the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6! This broadcast is "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old. In this shows Diana is directing, arranging and preparing her performances herself. She's a real creator. I discovered Diana a while back and am still amazed at her tonal quality, she has an unusually beautiful voice. She has a mesmerizing voice. You catch her at a good time because she has an original single coming out this month and her first album is scheduled to come out in her birth month of May in which she turns 18. This isn't even her most mind-boggling performance. Rechenka is her most iconic performance and showcases her vocal agility in a neo-tribal Russian folk song and working yodeling techniques into modern music.

Great reaction! She was 15 when she sang Wicked Game. If you like stage presence and that tribal sound you should listen to Rechenka (The River) which she sang at 14. It is a Russian folksong about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her mother's blessing for her marriage. Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talents was quickly recognized and the rest is history.

Great Reaction! If you were shook by this performance... You are really in trouble with "Rechenka"! Suggestion: If you are going to talk during video, you must wear a headset/buds. Every word and note She uses, tells a story. Her very last lyrics...you missed them. Plus, you are missing a lot of her vocals; polyphonics, harmonics etc. Just a suggestion...🙂
