Turkish Specialty Pastry
Five glasses of flour 200 ml
250 g butter
A tea cup of warm milk
A tea cup of warm water
One egg
One pack of Instant Yeast (10 g)
A coffee spoon of salt
Two coffee spoons of granulated sugar
Preparation:
We pour flour and salt. After mixing them together, we make a well in the center, add yeast, milk, water and sugar and mix them all, let it rest for 5 minutes, then we knead our dough together with softened butter and egg white. After obtaining a soft dough, let's cover it, leaven it for an hour, then divide it into pieces and place them on a tray lined with baking paper. After taking your oven to 50° and leavening the dough for another 40 minutes, we spread the egg yolk, make the lines with a fork, and bake it on a level below the middle floor of the oven at 170 or 180°. It gets super soft.
Post Script: You can add five glasses of flour + 1 or 2 spoons of flour. This way your measure will get more plenty and you can get 15 pieces.
