hi @@ughpeople8030 . It was good however next time I would reduce the vinegar a little (because I personally do not like the taste and smell of it) and make salt quantity as 1 1/2 tsp instead. I have kept my jars upside down at room temperature for 24 hours and then refrigerated it for next 4 days

Pickles in Bharat (India) range from simple to elaborate. They're a good source of probiotics & prebiotic too. The older the pickle, more the medicinal value of it. Many dishes made in Turkey are similar to the ones in our Country. I love your channel and love to learn new recipes. I make them vegetarian.

@@diliuzun oh wow !! That's nice to know. U know Turkish culture so much close the culture of Bharat. I have watched Turkish serials and they have many things that are similar to how we do it here like the nazar bonjuk, saying thu thu to away bad omen or throwing water after some leaves home etc and a lot more. I understand these rituals come from the older Pagan culture of Turkiye. Btw Dokuz is supposed to a divine number in Bharatiya culture. I too call my father Baba 💕 . So many similar words & expressions. Add to that the Arabic and Persian words. But even without those influences there's a whole lot in common. If I had to say, "Look at me" in my language (Marathi), I will say "Mala Bagh" which is uncannily similar to Bana Bak. Phonetically almost the same pronunciation !!! And many other expressions. I can go on... 😄😄
@diliuzun

@@tejusane1 dokuz is also divine number in Turkic myths.dok/doğ means birth, nature, fill. thank you for sharing. although i know because paganism (or different origins) lot of cultures have these similarities. but still hearing them exciting for me. we also watch Indian serials, Aamir Khan has a big fan base here. wedding gowns also simliar even though today brides wear different colors, red bridal kaftan is the original one, i believe it's same in Bharat. i think we can count them until all hours but they'll never end :D

Since i came back i learned how to make my favorite’s Turkish pilav with the friend macaroni, tavuk dolma, turkeish style tavuk kanat and now this. Still struggle to make adana kebap. These look so delicious!! I just made a jar of them, now to wait for them to ferment! I added the juice of half a lemon since I can't find that citric acid where I live 😢 Where i'm from fermenting pickles isn't really a thing at all! We make a hot brine of vinegar, water, sugar and a bunch of spices and pour over sliced pickles. It's then either water bathed or flipped over and covered until it seals. Always more dilly than anything else but I love the simplicity of this version much better!
