Meşgul and memnun are arabic words which give the same meaning .. Şemsiye is also an arabic word but we pronounce it as( şemsiyye ) with double (y) and it means ( güneşlik ) not ( yağmurluk ) so it proves that people were using it to protect themselves from sunshine not rain. Ukala is also an arabic word which comes from the root ( akıl =mind , thought ) .. And it has a very interesting etymological historical story in arabic .. Actually i have difficulties to pronunce su şişesi fast . Very interesting video and very good teacher who have nice english accent .. tebrikler hocam

I'm Turkish and I can say: In English you say "I'm good" But in Turkish you can say "Ìyiyim." Or "ben ìyiyim." Usually we use "iyiyim" because "ben iyiyim" is longer. Ìyi means good and Ben means "I". But we don't say "Ben iyi." -Yim means I. So when you say Ìyiyim. It is like iyi-yim. But it changes when person or verbs change. Like You= Iyi-sin (you're good) I= iyi-yim (I'm good) He/she/it= iyi (he/she/it is good) Like that Or: You= yap-ar-sın (you do) I= yap-ar-ım (I do) He/she/it= yap-ar (he/she/it does) In school we study on Turkish gramers. And for me, it is the hardest lesson. But if you want to learn how to speak Turkish, you can learn!

@@darksenetria4452 thank you. I'm glad to learn this grammar. In English some might say it is more correct to say "I'm well", if we respond to enquiries about how we are. It's a popular Americanism but not universal where English is the first language. "I'm good" has other meanings outside the USA context it's usually used in, such as meaning "I'm a good person".

As a native American English speaker, I speak with a potato in my mouth. Learning Turkish could soon cure me of that. On the bright side I found dotless ı easy because my native dialect has /ɨ/ in many unstressed syllables, which is very similar to it.

Hi Erik You are right, circumflexes are still used, mostly in words with Arabic roots but they are usually omitted in daily usage. Cheers, İçten Team TurkishClass101.com

"Eczehane" it's more correct than "eczane" in old turkish "osmanlı" is "اجزخانه" but they don't use "eczehane" now in modern turkish
@mmtalii
@mmtalii 3 жыл бұрын
It is not more correct just because it is the origin. Languages and words evolve over time. If nobody says 'eczehane' it cannot be the correct version anymore.
