Just watch Liverpool - they play it direct and fast from their third to the opposing third, almost bypassing midfield. And they have multiple routes in MF, all of whom are prepared to shoot from outside the box. We have to play it thru Odegaard 80% of the time and make multiple short passes from side to side, slowing down the game, which then creates the low block. It's Arteta ball, and he's too stubborn to mix it up.

Even then a lot of our fans don't mind getting rid of Tomiglassu, Kiwior, Zinchenko and we probably should let go KT, so that, funnily enough means we still need a CD and an LB. Should I go on? Salah is always on the pitch, Vinicius as well, Bellingham, etc… and it has always been the case. I agree that Saka has been overplayed but Arteta is not the only one that has contributed to that. They should have brought in more for our attack, agreed. He probably should have tried to rest Saka earlier, but he did start to sit him down more this season. But you can't simultaneously feel like Saka should have all this rest while also wanting him to play consistently so as to smash the assist record. Nothing is promised to anyone, not assist records, injury-free careers, nor titles. Basically it is what it is and I truly believe Arteta is doing his best under pretty shit circumstances this season. I sincerely hope we get someone in this transfer window like we all agree they have to, but we've been disappointed too much to be too hopeful.

When people compare Saka and Salah its just funny. Salah had Mane on the left to carry the load equally with him for more the two seasons. Genuinely think that the needing a ST and needing a creative midfielder is linked. Having a world-class ST uptop will let us be more creative and give us more space and stop Saka(when fit now) from being doubled up on because you won't be able to double up on both. This Arteta blame for Saka's injury is nonsense. If the player is fit and available and are the best option they should play. Plenty of players have played equivalent minutes as saka young and old. Injuries happen and are part of the game. Reiss Nelson also has a hamstring injury at Fulham and barely plays. Some players also prefer more minutes to stay in form.

I agree that we need to win something this year or his position should be questioned but let's not act like he has not done some good for us. THIS SEASON alone, we are 2nd in the PL table despite all our injuries and the red cards we had that cost us....we are also into a SEMI FINAL of the league cup and 3rd in the CL table. We have amassed the most points, goals and clean sheets of any team in 2024 to go with that. My point being....people are talking about ARSENAL as one of the best 2/3 teams in English football right now and that hasn't happened in 20 YEARS. We just need to get over the line, If Arteta can't do that then we move on but let's not act like he hasn't put us in a great place for us to succeed with or without him.
