Turks and Caicos. Our Best Snorkeling Experience

Show you the best places to snorkel in Turks and Caicos. In our opinion after visiting many different islands and snorkeling at all of them, we found Smiths Reef to offer the most beautiful reefs that are filled with fish, turtles, sharks, rays, and much more.
Smiths Reef is also the largest reef off of Provo that is accessible from the beach. It's located just two blocks away from scooter bobs. When you arrive at the beach you will need to walk down the beach until you reach the buoys, then from there you can snorkel out to the buoys and explore all the different coral reefs.

You don't need to know how to swim to snorkel. When you snorkel, you float on the top of the water and use a tube to breathe. You can do it!

Can't wait, going for my Bday in June. Snorkeled in Belize, another beautiful place. What snorkel equipment do you recommend? Also, did you go out by 🚢boat to see all of that beauty?

We usually snorkel from the beach, we've done lots of boat trips and they haven't been any better than walking in from the beach. If you are a good swimmer you don't need fins, unless the current is strong. If there is lots of boasts, I recommend a dive flag. Otherwise, mask and snorkel is good! :)

This is Smiths reef, it's near grace bay. I don't know where the cruise ship goes? I thought the cruise ship goes to Gran Turk? If that is the case, you won't be able to go here, but the snorkelling on Gran turk if you have the energy to swim out to the drop off is amazing, we swam with a hammer head shark! :)

Providenciales has two great and easy to access locations for beach snorkeling: the Bight Reef, and Smith's Reef. Both are located on the central north coast of Providenciales in the Bight and Turtle Cove areas, and are adjacent to the west of Grace Bay. This location you are seeing is smith's reef

We did all the reefs, we recommend spending all of your time snorkelling at Smiths Reef. Every day is different, some days there are sharks, some days there are rays and every day there are turtles and fish. Will you be making a video of your trip to TCI?
