I never thought about reducing the bulk like this! Thank you for such a wonderful idea :-) I like how you pin the binding down too.

I skipped past some of them, but I took a minute to look at the products they were advertising to see if I could learn about a new company, fabric, etc. If you liked these ladies, then I would like to know what products they use. That's usually one of the first questions I ask my teachers and friends.

Very helpful reminder. My corners have been getting sloppier as I've been too lazy to take the project out of the machine at the corner ... big mistake. I don't do much quilting yet bind a lot of towels, pot holders, etc. It's a great way to finish an edge.

Great video but why the pop-ups? I’m elderly so I have to either read the pop-up or pay attention to what you are saying and doing - it was lovely being young and doing both at the same time but I can’t do that now. And besides, what was important in the pop-ups anyway? Like “We are going to demonstrate this together today”. Well, yes, I was paying attention to you doing just that so you didn’t need to break my concentration to tell me what I was already watching you do! Sorry to be critical because I love your channel but I thought I would share this for those of us who would rather you just show us what to do and not make us read what is obvious or what you already told us. And to anyone who wants to ignore my praise and criticize my suggestion, please remember you’ll be old one day too! Pretend I am your great-grandmother - would you criticize her?!

I have always loved watching Quilty. I started trying to quilt a few years ago (I'm 23 now) and something about Quilty is modern and easy for me to watch. It's always so organized and the milti camera view is great.

Thank you for this lovely video. I failed sewing at school as the binding fell off the apron pockets and sleeves! Now 60 years later I’m learning to quilt and binding ……😢 is an integral step. Hopefully the corners will come out as beautiful as yours!

Have always been unhappy with how my binding corners turn out. Going to try that little snip and see if that makes a difference for me. That's the only thing different than what I've done in the past.

Never doubt your skills!! I entered a quilt show just to "get my feet wet" and to figure out what they were all about and ended up winning 1st place in the lap quilt division! You don't have to have decades of experience, and to be honest I think the judges like to see fresh new perspectives on quilting from the younger generations 😊

I am so very happy and it's thanks to you. I have been making quilts for the past three years and have never mastered the binding corner. Always a bit of a fudge/dog's dinner/teenager's bedroom - you chose the analogy. The trimming of the corner is genius and it works. Many thanks

This video came on just as I was starting my binding on a boys quilt. I do mine this way and always turn to back and hand sew very small stitches. I enjoy this part as it is the finish of yet another quilt and the hand sewing is very relaxing I think.
