Happy Friday...what a week. There are lot of ways to make binding. But before I talk about them, we need to know the basics. If you haven't made yourself a 3-in-1 tool yet, you'll save yourself a lot of headache if you do. Enjoy.

Lol I get so stressed and my neck disappears, I've been clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth...and I laugh and grab a tea, take a break and a breath, and remind myself that it's my first quilt for one of our kiddos! They love it already and it'll be warm usable and washable lol !

What is a quilter's knot? How do I sew the binding down on the back? Do I just sew along the edge (parallel to the edge) or should I sew X's, or perpendicular? What keeps the binding down the best?
@musicmom6143 жыл бұрын
Just made mine. Looking forward to using it. Your video made so much sense. I especially like the reason for not pressing your binding in half. I have done that and wondered why I struggled so. I have been quilting for 26years. Love your tips and your channel. Thanks Karen

I wanted you to know that this is the ONLY video I could wrap my brain around. I have tried and tried to learn this method, but I don't see things the way others do. It always looks backwards to me. So, tonight, I stopped and worked frame-by-frame and it WORKED. OMG I am beyond relieved. I'm working on a special gift and just had to have it perfect. THANK YOU from the bottom of my still learning heart.

LOVE your fussy & flat binding finish because I never could figure out how to turn my fabric without tons of trail and error. You explain it and SHOW it. Thank you! Always iron my binding in half but will try your no iron method on my next quilt. The quilt corner explanation extremely clear and has definitely encouraged me to be much more precise. Will make a 3 in 1 tool. Learned about the quilters knot. I will now do a double thread. I, too, appreciate that you just get right down to the business of teaching. Seems there's always a better way of doing something:)
