Long grain rice doesn’t make a sticky batter so that you can not the same result. But you can make it!

You are using a short-grain brown rice, correct? I wonder if long-grain brown rice users (like in the US) would benefit from splitting the quantity between brown rice and white sushi rice, for added stickiness.

If you have an Asian market near you, you should be able to buy short grained brown rice fairly cheaply.

Sugar is feeding yeast in the batter. I think you can still give it a try without sugar and let me know how it turns out!

This bread is so yummy simple and cheap! I’ve made it a few times, one time it rose and one time it didn’t. I think maybe the batter was too hot and killed the yeast. This time I’m making it I added a tbsp of tapioca starch and a tbsp of linseed to help the batter hold the gas better. Will let you know how it goes 😁

@@kitchenprincessbamboo I cooked the rice and blend it but discovered that I could have added the proofed yeast and blend everything together. Will let you know how it turned out. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Very healthy and if you don't have flour there is no need to worry.
