Plain sliced bread toasted is underrated on its own. As a kid I LOVED just toast lightly browned in the toaster. The smell, crunchy outside with the soft inside.
@TheLazyFinn Жыл бұрын
I love crunchy so I've been doing a trick I figured out: I just let the toast stay in the toaster for a little while, it's still warm enough to melt butter but not moist like how it gets if you rest it on any surface straight out of the toaster

I’ve done this before. When my son was a baby and in the hospital a lot, we could keep food in the refrigerator in the Ronald McDonald house family room, and I was hungry after a day of him getting grueling chemo- I had a few ingredients to throw this together, and it was so good. Of course, I didn’t have fresh ingredients, but it was still tasty.

Funnily enough? I just pulled some pizza bread slices out of the oven. I just use a few slices of white bread, Contadina Pizza Squeeze (its pizza sauce in a squeeze bottle, you can find it at the Dollar Tree for $1.25), some pre-shredded cheese and some pre-sliced pepperoni. 300-350f, 6-8 minutes, pull it and let it rest 4-6 minutes, and you got pizza. The convenience of a squeeze bottle of pizza sauce is pretty awesome and being able to find it at the Dollar Tree for $1.25 is pretty darn sweet too.
