Now this is why you’re the best street photography channel on KZbin. While other channels make videos like “Best Focal Length for a Beginner” or “How to Pack for Travel Street Photography” or whatever. And then there’s you who actually gets to the point, how we should immerse ourselves in the field, take away all the unnecessary things, see this way, see that way - everything is precise, educative and enlightening.

Hello Eduardo! Lovely bit of advice as always. I found that by disabling all but the essential from my screen (the focus point) I was free to experiment a lot more with my compositions. I've had the 3x3 grid on for the longest time and it is already burned into my eye so I do not need it to guide me anymore on the screen. After my most recent photowalk, I managed to finally nail a shot I had been chasing for 2 years!

Street photography is a genre of photography that focuses on capturing spontaneous, everyday moments in public spaces. It often involves photographing people, their interactions, as well as urban life and atmosphere. The key element is capturing the authenticity of the moment, showing reality in its natural form, without posing or styling. In this field, quick reactions, a keen sense of observation, and the ability to spot interesting scenes in ordinary, everyday situations are essential. As a landscape photographer, my approach to photography is somewhat different. I focus on nature, its tranquility, beauty, and harmony. My photos often convey the emotions tied to the moments I capture in nature, from sunrises to the misty stillness of winter mornings. In contrast to street photography, my images are more reflective and intimate, showcasing the beauty of landscapes that have their own rhythm but are also filled with peace and harmony.

Today I got to know your works and channel. Your photographs are inspiring and I like listening and watching your philosophy and the way you do it. I like your honesty and no pretentious approach. Photography has been my hobby for a long time but until recently I mostly took landscapes and only this year I started taking street photography in Edinburgh. So making sure that the horizon is straight is like first thing I do in editing but recently I was wondering if it is always necessary. What you said made sense to me and I will keep it my mind next time I shoot and editting. It’s good to break out from old habits and trying something different🙂

I think just acting normal, smiling and sticking around until they get desensitized to you and your camera! I wanted to do candid shots of my family in a rural village with a big Canon 30D SLR and 24-70/2.8 L and I pulled it off by putting the camera upfront and playing with it and eventually people start talking among themselves and forget about you and your giant camera! 🤷♂😂 And different cultures react differently! I'd be more hesitant to point a camera at strangers in the US than in Asia and Europe!
