Hey there. Really cool rig. Do you have some footage shot with it? How long will the batteries last (the ones powering the atomos&gh5) Also how do you transport everything? It takes quite a while to assembly all parts? Do you have a custom made case for it? For me maybe the element of the weight of the whole thing raises questions. How heavy is the whole package? All the best!

Could you give a cost estimate for this rig? (not incl camera)
@SonerBaysal2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim. Tilta rig costs 459+ Tilta nucleus fallow focus is 300 and Atamos Ninja V costs 535 so overall total is 1294 dollars. You can get Atamos Shinobi instead if you dont need external recorder. Which would cost you 339 dollars instead of course you can buy other cheaper brand monitors as well. It s personal preferance overall. These are the main gear witch would cost a lot. The rest of the accessories would cost around 150-200 dollars total. I have almost all the gear listed on the video description with affiliate links. (It will not cost you anything extra if you decide to buy the products but it will support the channel) But one think that i can tell you is that once you invest to this eco system you can use the same gear if you decide to change your camera in the future. For example right now i am using Sony A7IV and i can use the same gear with the Sony A7IV all i have to do is replace the GH5 cage with Sony A7IV cage which costs 80 dollars. Hope this was helpful and let me know if you need more details.

Ehi man thank you for sharing your gear! I've watched all of your videos about the gh5! so i do have a panasonic gh5 mark 2 but i havent founded yet a npf battery plate that can charge the camera during recording! I have a npf 970 battery with 7.2 volts. Do you have any recommendation? Thank you in advace
@SonerBaysal2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Glad to hear that you are enjoying the content and thanks for the support. If i understood correctly you want to charge the camera without a dummy battery right? If thats the case than you have to charge the GH5 battery while the battery is inside and use the usb-C port of the camera. In that case you need a V mount battery plate with USB Output. I think any V mount battery plate with USB output would do the job Small rig has one if you are interested called.SmallRig V Mount Battery Adapter Plate. With usb A to C cable you can charge the camera while recording this way. I havent tried it for the records but this should work. Let me know if you need more help. Hello did you power the follow focus from the Vmount Battery? Or from it self battery
@RAKKProductions3 жыл бұрын
Which dummy battery did you go with? I like the battery solution compared to having to use v-mount. A bit cheaper!
@SonerBaysal3 жыл бұрын
Well i have got mine from aliexpress long time ago. I dont even have a link for it sorry. Also I wouldn't recommend the one i have. I know about electronics because of my education and when i opened inside the dummy battery there was no fail safe future in it. So if i would plug it to any wrong port it would be Lumix GRILLED5 instead of GH5. 😅 But i can recommend the original dummy battery if you cant find any after market one. I just dont want to cause trouble. 😀 But the alternative V-Mount battery attachment is my favorite for sure i can highly recommend that one. I had zero issues with the unit. Only complain i could say is that i would blown away if i could change batteries one by one while recording. I dont know why they didn't produce it like that. It shouldn't be a problem. But other than that its all good. BTW you cant change the normal V-mount batteries while recording so it would be just a bonus is all i am saying:)

Hi, great video, thank you. What power are the mpf batteries you’ve got? Would F970 mpf batteries work with the gh5?
@SonerBaysal2 жыл бұрын
Hi Glad to hear that you liked the video. I have F750 5200mAh mpf batteries. There shouldn't be any issue with F970 since only the capacity of the battery is increased. As long as voltage isn't written more than 7.2V you wouldn't face any issues. Let me know if this was enough information.

Hi Soner. I love your channel. I have purchased the set up from Tilta. I have a quick question. When you attach cable from Side focus handle to the Nano Motor, do you have instant movement on the Nano motor gear? I do not. I have tried all of the videos of calibrating the Nano Motor, with no luck in getting the Motor gear to turn my lens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tilta support is not giving me much support. Thank You.

I bought this exact same cage for my GH4, the on /off switch was fine to switch on, but covered the lever when wanting to turn off. The battery compartment wouldn't open unless you loosened the bottom large camera to cage screw. Also the White balance button was covered by the cage. Ended up having to grind out the parts of the cage that were a problem, so now parts of the cage are much thinner and are shiny aluminium not the gunmetal gray as on the rest of the cage. If I remember I left this on the review for this cage. Wish I could have got a small rig one.

Damn, I really wish Tilta wrote it was a GH5 cage and not a GH4 one ! Unacceptable ! Wait...
@JunoWho26 ай бұрын
Yea it’s written in the fine print. “NOTE: This cage will block the battery compartment on the GH4” - Tilta It will technically fit the GH4 but it’s not going to be MADE for it. I’m pretty sure this was specifically made for the GH5. So they aren’t fully pulling a fast one on us haha
