I'm relatively new to golfing. I love how Aimee explains things. Visualizing the hoola hoop added 20 yards to my drive! Every time I address the ball, I say "hoola hoop"!😂

Hi Aimes i recently discovered on my own that simply applying consistent pressure with the pinky of my trail hand against the center of my grip as I swing my club back and forth is magical and profound as well. I could write a book on the many reasons this one swing thought works. Try it. You will love it yourself. No one in the world that I know of ever taught this. Cheers 👍😃⛳️🥂❤️

yes, your shoulder problem may be caused by your backswing being a bit too high. as a drill place your left thumb against the left side of your right manubrium. swing your right arm back; and, you will be able to get a feel for how the manubrium retracts away from the thorax in the backswing. this enables the clavicle bone to glide along the first rib, rotating the shoulder. when you get a feel for this you can then just focus on allowing your manubrium to move away from your thorax as you swing your right arm back. and, when you do this you will find that your right arm flexes all the way back, enabling you to swing more behind yourself- which will take all the strain off your back and shoulders.

During the Winter series, you did a similar drill but included a slide with the trail hip. Should there be a slide here too or is that just for iron swing?
@GolfWithAimee Жыл бұрын
Hi Brian! You’re exactly right. The slide should be happen for all the other swings except for the driver. The driver needs the hang back, and then the slide would happen after. I hope this helps! Thank you.

Well thank you! Many seem to think I'm a bit on the hairy side, but hey the extra fur insulates me during the colder winter months.
