Well well well another tutorial that will bring many values to the table. Arn is a badass instructor. Get this guy's commercial tutorials, he won't let you down. His tutorials deserve every penny for his effort.

We didn't hear a full composition here :( These could be tricks for developing a theme but not composing a full piece. Composing is a serious job, sir. With these patterns it's not a surprise there are so many "composers"out there nowadawys :)

This video is just an excerpt of a full 4 hour workshop, where the most basic of principles are presented to help get rid of the most basic reasons why a lot of beginners tend to get stuck in a loop, and simply break out of the loop stage at the most basic level. It is the first stage for most beginners in order to take the steps to create a full track. Of course one could as well flex and write a progressive rock piece shifting between 13/8 and 5/4 with constant track changes, but for the audience of this workshop that would be a complete waste of their money/time. These are simply the first steps to take for those who are stuck, and you must learn the basic steps before you can get onto the more fun stuff - and once you do, one is indeed free to create the most crazy structures one desire :) Cheers!
