You may want to replace that grass with a lawn alternate may not have to cut it and if the ground cover has flowers it’ll look even cooler!!! But nevertheless grass does look clean
@pottersjournal3 жыл бұрын
This is great were I live every one has 10 acre lawn that they mow every 7 days need it or not. Not a meadow flower can grow not a bee, moth or bird in sight. Your garden will be like a welcome sign for humming birds and butterflies. Well done.

That’s legit so dumb, I have no idea why people do that. It may be like riding a go kart type of deal for them... but it’s work. I rather throw seeds out help the insects and mow one time a year. It makes WAY more sense. Thanks for the comment!!

Hi, I’m from England and have my own native wildflower meadow, I think you said something about stripping the top soil and things being a bit slower to grow. That will be the case but for wildflower meadows it is beneficial to have lower fertility in the soil, as it will stop any vigorous plants out competing other plants and will help keep it diverse. I am not 100% sure whether this is still the case for American wildflowers but in England that is what is suggested. Hope this puts your mind at ease a little!
@paulplantu3 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome, yeah most of the wildflowers I see are growing on the sides of roads and parking lots which have horrible soil so I have faith in them. Thanks for the reassuring comment and stopping by on the channel!

You should look into white clover seeds for the more shady part of your yard. They're "weeds" so they put up with a lot of abuse, but the flowers are like crack to bees.

Where will your dogs have to run and play? I hope you reconsider the poisonous plant, if you love your dog, it’s not worth the risk is it? For one plant? That’s something you can’t take back once it’s done.

You’re suppose to buy seeds that are native to your area. Do not buy wildflower mixes like this guy did. You want native plants to attract and help native insects.
