This happened to me as well, in high school I was overweight and I got rejected and mocked for the first three years. During my senior year I had enough of it and lost 40lbs and I noticed the same girls would start to give me attention. I ignored all of them and twelve years later I’m married to a beautiful woman while most of them are overweight and/or single moms. Seeing as they all have the same personality they did in high school I think I dodged many bullets.

Regardless of what gender, age, or sexuality you are: *NO MEANS NO* i don’t buy Natalie’s explanation at all. Maybe I’m being too cynical because of Reddit but it feels like she’s being nice and understanding now to lure OP back to her
@josephskelatin39433 ай бұрын
I thought the same, and I too think it may be these countless reddit stories making us cynical. I do want to hold out hope to the possibility of just poor behavior for a moment, rather than a thoroughly orchestrated malicious plan. The problem is, people in this day and age don't give us much to work with, and in situations like this it's almost safer to assume the worst. Can we play the roles reversed game for a bit? If a woman was suddenly asked out by a man that laughed at her advances in the past, she would be a girlboss for rejecting him and he'd be branded an entitled creepy psycho for making such an outburst response. His friends harassing her into giving him a chance would not be a good look either. It would be EXTREMELY generous of her to then meet up with him alone to clear the air, and leave open the possibility to maybe get together again one day should the stars align.

That's the thing about the dating world. Men initiate and do the courting. Women mainly just accept or reject the suitors. The average guy has to deal with a lot of rejections, probably even experience more rejections than success and have to learn to deal with it, cope with it. Its pretty normal that women can't accept rejection and be dramatic about it cos for most women they don't experience it. This is the reality. All you can do is just move along, she has to find her own healthy way to cope with rejection. The first few times are always hard, that's what all guys have to go through. Welcome to the mandem experience.

Past and present and just do a little behavioral research and that should paint pretty good picture of her. It doesn't take a physicist do crunch the numbers and come up with what she is doing here. She lied to you in the past. Regardless of the reasoning behind it. You know that she is a liar now. So how can you trust her. You literally were not some stranger or creep. You were someone within her community and asked her a question in which she gave you a BS response and laughed in your face. But no, it's ok she was nervous. NO! OP is ignorant if he thinks this and needs to educate himself. The friends went out of their way to message you? It wasn't their business. She said they did it of their own accord? I dunno, what did she say to them to cause such a reaction. Do they even know the full story. I doubt it highly and it's telling about her character. WHICH MEANS any issue you have will be SPOON FED to these people and you will have to contend with that down the road. You will have no privacy. You can never trust her and she isn't worth having as a friend. There are so many other issues here best to just walk away and not even be friends.

She is dating again as she is no longer with the man she had a baby with so she asked the guy who was interested that she knew from their town. That makes sense. She wasn't assuming he'd be waiting single for her. I hope that clears things up. For some reason men seem to get all angry and up in arms whenever a woman doesn't seem interested. @CeasiusC No, he said no, and everybody jumped on him as if he did something wrong. The situation escalated, and he managed to politely end it. The fact that he never mentioned to her that he didn't want to be with a single mother is commendable and shows he's the only sane one there. He did everything right. Everybody else was crazy. Seriously, that baby can't even be 2 years old she shouldn't be dating anybody right now.
