He made it look so easy! What a talent he was and so was Ginger Rogers! Wow! I am in awe! The late great King of Pop Michael Jackson admired him so much!! Astaire told MJ that “”You’re a hell of a mover” after Jackson debuted his “Moonwalk” dance at the Motown 25 anniversary appearance. Jackson said it was the greatest compliment he ever received! He went on to say “Man, you really put them on their asses last night” and “ I didn’t want to leave this world without knowing who my descendant was. Thank you Michael!” What a class act! ❤️😎👍🏽

I haven't seen this movie since about 1974. I forgot how fantastic this sequence was. So much more going on than just Fred and Ginger dancing (as if that wasn't enough already).

The chemistry between these two was unmatched and not many actors at the time could keep up with fred while dancing with him and ginger always matched his energy. 👠🖤🤍🌟

Poetry in dance the likes of which is not seen anymore. These two were sheer magic on their feet! ❤

1934! Loved this movie. Fred had natural dance abilities. Ginger danced well in long gowns and high heels. Edward Everett Horton was in this movie too. Big production movie. Enchanting.

The character actors - especially Eric Blore, Edward Everett Horton, Erik Rhodes, and Helen Broderick - add so much whimsy and fun to the Astaire-Rogers movies. They're real gems !

Swing Time absolutely is my favorite Fred and Ginger film. I actually enjoy The Barkleys Of Broadway as my second favorite -- because they are mature and so familiar together that they seem somewhat looser and closer. 💃🕺

I remember watching this on our small black and white TV in the 50's. All these years later it is still fun to watch.

Nice quote, but not true. Ginger’s choreography was simplified in much of their choreography. It’s not a complaint. She brought beauty, grace, elegance, and fine dancing too, but Fred Astaire was the dance genius.

Ginger and Fred danced very well. I bet Ginger’s long dress looked so beautiful even though it is a black and white movie.

Treasurable, of course, but try finding a clip that starts with Ginger singing this Academy Award winning song or, better yet, the whole movie!

That had to be the largest collection of dancers in the chorus of any production number in the movies. Or at least one of them.

MGM VS RKO, MGM would have over produced this, made it too glossy. RKO gave it a matte finish, very deco, very melodic. Both studios were great, but i love the RKO style.
