Same bodystyle as a 48-Early 55 Chevy pickup but agree like that one ( Turnin Rust ) is working on especially with the s10 frame.

My son and I are doing a truck project too. He’s 15. It will be his daily driver when we’re done. . . Hopefully!!!! Frame swapping a 66 F100 onto a 2005 Crown Vic chassis. It’s been a real treat to teach him how to do these types of projects.

You are a lucky guy to get to hang out with your dad and do wrenching together. I enjoy all the videos, so looking forward to the build. My dad had two of these 52's. It starts out innocently enough with an LS and ends up to be a full on custom

I know it's just one man's opinion but that 305 is in that truck for a good reason. It's a well suited engine for that size old truck body and it's simple and easy to repair. That truck is 90% complete. Anyway, I know it's too late but that's my two cents worth anyway. Fred Lundgren Katy Texas

Love the swap and Uncle Frankie. Been 12 months since heading to Bogota from Sydney Australia and meeting the guys. So cool to see some of the cars that were out front slowly coming to life. Think you have another 10 years of videos based on you current collection of cars waiting for the Turnin rust treatment. I wear my turnin rust hat and T shirt with pride. Such a cool way to create a car. The first day I had my rad rod Bedford (Chevy C10 Van

My first vehicle was a 3100 Chevy with the five window cab. I bought it when I was 15 and gave $500 for it. It had a 283 V8 and a five speed manual transmission in it and a limited slip rear end in it. Dad and I finished it up and painted it, it was a nice first vehicle. I still have it, I just turned 44 a couple months ago. It needs rebuilt again badly now.

I would love to have had that truck as a starting point. I don't have the budget, tools, shop space, etc. to do what you're doing. I understand what you're doing and why, but I would have been thrilled to scrounge a carb to get it running, fab up a dual glass pack exhaust for a little V8 rumble and have a toy to drive and low buck tinker with. I'll be watching.
