I've started charging my x2 pump from a portable powerbank rather than a wall charger, love the freedom of not being tied to the wall while it charges!!

My daughter was diagnosed with T1D in January. Even though she is only 6, your videos are still so incredibly helpful. Thank you for posting all these videos - I learn so much from them. And also, it’s great to see how well things seem to be going for you. I hope you continue to stay healthy. Congratulations on such a lovely family. ❤️

Happy birthday Michelle!!! I've been watching your videos pretty much since I was diagnosed two years ago and they're so useful in helping me feel like I'm not alone (I don't really have any people close to me with T1D). Thanks so much for posting all the different journeys that you've gone through (highs and lows of diabetes, going from study to work and now pregnancy and motherhood). The variety and realness of your videos make everything feel really relatable while also being informative about things that I'm either going through or will go through later in life and how its possible to manage diabetes through everything.

I recommend a mini portable charger! And maybe even a shorter compatible cord for the tslim so it’s not in the way, I use one all the time for charging when I’m out and about, at school, or sleeping so I can get a charge without having to be sitting for so long!

Hi Michelle!! I love your videos!! I’m a type one diabetic who also uses trusteel/t slim combo. I’m struggling to accept that there are two parts of the infusion set and I hate the loop the wire makes from it!! Im absolutely obsessed with how you wore yours. I’ve been trying to figure out how you did it along with finding videos online but no luck. Can you send the video you found or make a video on how to make the trusteel that close together. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Hello and Happy Birthday, I have only been using the tslim pump for a couple months. I feel like I still am not understanding how everything is supposed to be working I still get very high readings even though I am doing much better on my diet. Also I should say I am legally blind so it is much harder for me than I thought this was going to be. I would really like to know again how to overcome my struggles I have been using the Dexcom G6 and love it. I have watched all of your posts I do want this to work
@Diabetic_Susan2 жыл бұрын
Hi Michelle! I saw someone posted about using a portable charger. I don’t know if you’re back to work yet or not, but I put my charger with my work stuff (I work from home), and I plug in during meetings. Also…not on this video, but thanks for posting about the clip you put on your pump. I’ve tried so many different cases!!! It’s still my biggest complaint about the Tslim, but the $8 Hip Clip is PERFECT.

Untether yourself from the wall when charging with a 5000mAh powerbank and a 30cm cord. These are small enough to tuck into a pocket, a waistband or a purse. Charge the powerbank once a week and you'll always be ready be prepared to recharge the pump 3 times wherever you happen to be. In a power outage you can recharge your pump and phone once, but will need a second cable with the right connector for your phone.

hi michelle, so happy for you to having a DNA booger they are so cute mines now turning 11 in may , so congrats! Thanks for the insights on the trusteel infusion set, over the past 2 years i was using the 90s as well and i have an issue with my cannula bending, i got tired of it called them and asked for a longer canula, then they suggested truesteel and i think it was the 30 degree to try out, not sure which one im going to go with, have you had any experance with the 30 degree ? tandum is an awesome company to work with for dibeties its the best experance i have ever had and like you i was a former medtronic user. They said the adheasive is more "agressive" on the trusteel how has your experance with it been ? could you do another video of the whole process of putting in the trusteel now that you have some time with it under your hands, i didnt find the tandum videos really relateable and i find yours more. could you also show the trick you learned from the educator i would like to see that. i know once i get to "play around" with my trusteels i will understand it a lot more but skiping the fill canula is really confusing me, could you make a comment on that ? thanks you have helped change my diabetic life i learned about dexcom from you and i knew about the tslim but you sold it to me by the info you gave on it, thank you for that. now you're a doctor correct? I dont know what happened in all that as i lost your channel name over the years and never really put thought to looking for it again until i saw you came up when i was looking up trusteel stuff if thats correct, congrats on getting that done i hope its all going well for you. have you had any kind of talk with your eye doc about retina disattachment ? i just got it and man it ruined me for a few months until i could get the surgery done, and its common with diabetics so i donno im plugging this in here for those whom also read comments and seeing if you got feed back on it. its scarry how fast it just happens like for me it was over an hour one hour i could see, the next i couldn't see even the tip of my nose. so thanks as always for your content. im going to have to migrate up to Canada to be your MA if you dont have one. :P happy berf daiey 89 er !
