Turning 40! Relaxing Birthday Home Vlog! Presents, Lego Building & Cake!

In today's vlog we celebrate Tim's 40th birthday! This is just his relaxing birthday celebration at home before the big bday celebration. We had breakfast, opened some presents, finally built the Nintendo LEGO set and ended the night with burgers! It was a great day and we hope you had fun joining along! While it was nice to give Jackson something on Tim’s bday, it’s better if you explain to him that he will get gifts on his special day, he’s now going to always want something whenever someone gets gifts..

Always is a bit far fetched. He will be just fine. My mom would send us to birthday parties with an extra small gift for any younger sibling of the birthday person. Usually only if they were ages 1 to 3, after that...they are old enough to understand that it's a special day just for the birthday person.

I agree with you. Jackson needs to be taught that when it’s his birthday he will get gifts, and when it’s someone else’s birthday that person only gets gifts. He is going to have to learn the word no, which I find they have a hard time saying to him.

I also can imagine they say No to him plenty of times and it gets edited out if he has a tantrum from being told No. Nobody wants to watch a crying child in a vlog. So sick of these people cutting them down. They are living their best life and good for them. These others are clearly jealous.

Hmm, I don’t think I would give Jackson gifts for other peoples birthday. Not a great habit to get into. He will begin to expect a gift when it’s not a day for him. Sounds nice but ends up with tantrums later when they actually think they will get something and they don’t.

Happy 40th Birthday Tim ! That NES Lego set is super neat ! Might have to keep that one in mind for my gaming nerd hubby 😂 & that cake looked delicious ! Also wanted to add that even if a laid back day at home is all you’re able to do to celebrate a birthday,that’s more than enough. There’s a lot of people struggling around the world that aren’t able to have lavish celebrations. Love from family is all you truly need. Even if what we saw today is "all" yo did for your birthday, I think it's wonderful. You all spent quality time together, with treats, presents, and each other - the MOST important things - at ANY age! I celebrated my 60th in lockdown, alone, and even then - tried to make the very best of it. It is what you make of it. I love the music you picked for building Lego, and good job, Tim! That console looked so realistic!! Very nice socks they gifted you - I've heard people love their Bombas, I have to try them sometime! Happy Birthday! My husband and I built the same Lego set, and it is totally worth getting the additional Mario set (71360) with the electronic Mario. When you put him in the top it plays the music from the game when you scroll through the scene. Plus it would be a fun set for you and Jackson to play with.
