Absolutely gorgeous! Makes the best of the beautiful wood and the deep rich colours of the resin. It's a bit too good for the bowl now! Shame about the breakage. Maybe you could find a plain glass bowl or a ceramic one in a paler colour of the resin? That would look good but would be tricky to find.

WOW! The red bowl lid is so gorgeous. The half and half look adds an elegance to the piece. And the way the light flows through the lid, it gives the bowl a beautiful red luminance effect. Ill bet the purple lid would have had the same effect on the bowl. Outstanding results! Thank you for the video.

The surviving result was stunning, and I find this is an interesting use of burl: I usually see projects showing off the details on the spiky end with clear resin, but the side profile against opaque resin creates a cool effect as well. Sort of looks like a landscape. The other blank somehow reminds me of a huge checkers piece; maybe use it as a base for a chessboard? Just throwing it out there 🙂
