Super amazing rig!!!! How much in estimate this costs in total? Btw yesterday night i was watching your videos nonstop hahahaha the reason cus you in particular made me buy the SONY NEX-7 from the video you upload it one year ago, if it weren't for you i wouldn't have purchased that camera and i would've lost a lot more money on a a6000 which for me are basically the same cameras but with a little more upgrades on connectivity and autofocus. Can not thank you enough for that one video, i learnt a lotttt about cameras in this channel and just in general! You definitely deserve more subs and more views cus your content is freaking amazing!!!!.

Footage of the stock EOS M is pretty bad, even for 2012 tech... the codec or bitrate is just too weak. With ML it can be very impressive, but the raw data takes up an insane amount of space, it needs an ultra fast SD card, the workflow is tedious and the ML software is quite unreliable... it's perfect for learning video skills for cheap and recording footage that isn't time sensitive and could be repeated if something goes wrong. I would definitely not use this for professional work...

Just a quick thing - I loved the comics xlr unit but I was on a passion project and it started smoking while it was off. No reason for it to quit on me. We hadn’t even started shooting yet. So maybe that was just mine but I had it for almost a year and then it smelled like burning plastic coming from it. Small warning about quality control. I loved it too. Huge bummer.

Good looking rig, but I have a few suggestions: If you use the M50 cage from Smallrig (which fits the EOS M nicely), you can access the battery door... even if you have a dummy battery, you'll need easy access to that door, because you need to be able to access / swap out the SD card (rather often, with ML raw). Also, a monitor for the EOS M unfortunately doesn't make a lot of sense, because only a very small number of the modes work with HDMI, which is rather limiting. I've found that using a LCD loupe / optical viewfinder is a much better option for the EOS M... you lose the touch screen access, but most ML functions can be dealt with from the menu better anyway. And finally, while this is a fun project, rigging the camera like that is just not very practical because of the unreliable nature of Magic Lantern... I still think it's a great learning tool and you can get some impressive results from the camera, but it's just not "production" ready...

Any thoughts on the best ssd card for shooting 14-bit lossless 2.8k raw for continuous shooting of 15 min? I assume this card can’t accept uhs-ii or uhs-iii

sandisk extreme pros are the best cards for most people, I wouldn't go with anything slower

Your gear looks very nice, but ... ... man, who is paying you for spreading such a crap here? When I do a quick scan across your channel I find nothing but gear reviews all over the place. Not one single piece of evidence that you are a true content creator sharing his personal experience with us about how to become better by applying some tricks and special gear. I used to follow some of you, guys, here, ending up with quite a bunch of gear that I use very rearely. And even more important - I completely stripped down my rig to reduce weight and to improve usability. Instead, you add more gear and cabling to your rig as if you where supposed to supply the next Nexflix series with the one and only camera on set. It is insane what Insta, YT, and other social media have turned into by all those 'influencers', only lurking for the next bucks to make.

Ive never seen anything from this channel before this video but it kept coming up in related. I have multiple rail setups myself and i have a pretty good idea as to how much everything besides that camera costs. Im failing to understand why the video wasnt called "i put a cheap camera in the middle of several thousand dollars of equiptment." Ive already been through the gas stage and this really seems like over compensation. Either way theres really nothing here besides a show n tell video.
