Hi Bob... always love your videos! FWIW... I usually only adjust the bolt action depending on whether the intended user is left or right handed. Just makes it easier for one handed operation with a flick of the thumb on the writing hand.

Red mark on your tool I hope it was just a marker. You went that step a little further than in other videos. Thank for coming back to explain more in detail. Thank you Eddie, I only use C/A on Alumilite for repairs. That red mark was left over from the sharpening process. I’m changing the grind a bit on the tool so it will take a while to wear away. Regards, Bob

I have a couple of those in my pen box. I have only ever turned the slim line pens. These blanks cost a bit more so I am waiting till I get a little better at it. I should just turn them.

I think being comfortable is very important. However, that being said, sometimes you have to step out of that comfort zone and take a chance or you Never really improve. Regards, Bob

Renaissance Way is in addition to C/A on wood pens. I use it for the final polish. On Alumilite pens, I do not use C/A unless they are a wood hybrid. Find yourself a good headlight scratch remover at the auto parts store. PlastX works nicely and use that. Regards, Bob

It doesn’t, it just lets me polish the micro fine scratches out of the surface and gives the blank a nice shine. Regards, Bob

When I only need one or two blanks it’s cheaper to purchase them. The resin is expensive and goes bad quickly. It’s just not worth it unless you do a decent amount of casting. Regards, Bob

You know the only reason you find that bolt action weird is because you're left handed. The kit comes designed for right handed people. If I'm wrong please tell me

Hello Brandon, I don’t think your wrong. The only reason I rotate the bolt is because that’s the way the bolt works on my rifle. It angles down so naturally I felt like the bolt on the pen Should angle down. There is no right or wrong way it’s just a personal preference and can easily be changed back by the new owner with a screwdriver. Regards, Bob

The bolt may be a gimmick kit but it is the best gimmick kit. You may hate it but people buying pens love them and I sold every one I ever made.
