using the vocoder with noise is kinda cheating though. Because the sound source is no longer the fart, it is noise. And in theory you can derive any frequency from white noise.

Yeah that's fair, I didn't really understand how the vocoder worked until recently. Probably gonna try without it next time :p

thats pretty arbitrary. imo the whole point is that you can derive just about any sound from any other sound if you just process it enough, but sure: bonus points if you manage to do it the hard way
