Turning a Hybrid Blank Pizza Cutter (Casting & Turning Demo)

Mike Nish casts a hybrid blank by pouring Alumilite casting resin over a stabilized Maple Burl cap. He explains how to mix and dye the resin, as well as how to cure it without bubbles. He then turns a pizza cutter handle and demonstrates how to sand and finish the blank.

Very nice Handle looks great. I like the pop ups that show tools and products. Do you clean the handle between grits with the denature alcohol?

Carbide would work great, especially the negative rake cutters.

Nice job. However, Alumilite Clear Slow is a urethane resin not an epoxy. Alumilite's epoxy is Amazing Clear Cast.

The alumilite is a Urethane Resin, not Epoxy ;)
