I have to admit I did try a pressure cooker, but I ended up cutting it because I didn't like the shots I had of it. It was kind of in between the braising and sous vide results

Hey Nate, just a heads up on the serious side, re. sowing raisins: most raisins, and most foods, are treated so that their seeds are sterile. They won’t grow if sown. You need to get hold of untreated grapes. Might prove a bit tricky. Then make your own raisins, that’s easy but it will likely kill whatever life is in the seeds. Anyway, good luck!

Yeah, I ran into this while trying to source raisins for it. Finding ones with seeds was hard enough, but ones that were dried in a way that wouldn't kill the seeds was almost impossible. I eventually found some at a hippy style organic foods store. Apparently a local farm makes them. I felt like I was in an episode of Portlandia
