Your office turned out great!!! It is very nice, and hope that you get to enjoy it a lot, but most importantly it helps you get pumped and going again making lots of great soap creations. 😀

I love the office! You did such a great job. We did a similar thing with a smaller shed we had. Ours is 8x12 and we used a Tuff Shed but I love the rustic look you have. We did more of a modern look ourselves.

AGGHH!! :D a fellow Arkansan! I'm in central AR. It looks great! I converted a shed back in 2015 and I wish that I would have done the tongue and groove instead of drywall. It has cracked so much!

Hi, your office looks great. Did you insulate the floor and if so what did you use? Thanks for sharing.

I’m in a vastly different climate (Pacific Northwest) and am in the process of converting my 200sq ft Tuff Shed into an office space. The ceiling has the radiant vapor barrier like yours. Drywall and insulation contractors won’t touch the ceiling because of that vapor barrier and ventilation. Two have told me that baffles are required (which is an easy fix) but with 2x4s and the studs being 24” on center, that won’t leave much room for fiberglass insulation. The other problem I’ve learned after loads of research and talking to insulators is that insulating over the vapor barrier will 1. negate the function and efficiency of the barrier, and 2. create the perfect trap for excessive heat and moisture which eventually leads to all the problems. So, I’m curious about your ceiling insulation, are there baffles? Either way, how are you keeping the airflow between the vapor barrier and the insulation circulating? Have you noticed any issues yet now that you’re over a year in? (PS: I can’t get Tuff Shed to give me any answers about the ceiling and insulation, so any advice you have is great!!)

Would have liked to see how you insulated the ceiling and what you used in the description for this project or where you got materials from...btw, where did you get the spray foam from?
@ThreeLittleGoats
@ThreeLittleGoats 2 жыл бұрын
We found spray foam kits at Home Depot, pretty much everything for this project was from Home Depot or Lowe’s.

No, the flooring we used had a foam backing on it, so we didn’t need to. 😃

That’s an amazing conversion I’m doing the same thing to a 12x16 right now. What did it cost to wire it up if you don’t mind.
@ThreeLittleGoats
@ThreeLittleGoats 3 жыл бұрын
We had an electrician do the wiring and it cost $500. That included a new panel, running the electrical to the shed and wiring 10 outlets.

The shed is from a company called Bald Eagle Barns, I don’t think they are a national company. Most sheds can be converted, even ones from Lowe’s or Home Depot.

We used small cell spray foam for a base layer of insulation which helps prevent moisture build up.
