I did the same thing when my son came here to Mississippi go to college, same size shed but we built it into a tiny house for him to live in while he was going to school. I already lived in a tiny house and still do so he couldn't live with me so we just built the shed into a tiny house for him, he's graduated and moved bought a small 2 bedroom house in town so I rent it out to a married couple that are both in college.

Great work. Just curious, did you not have to put any rafter vents in the ceiling for the hot air?
@The_Heights3 ай бұрын
It had a small roof vent already so I just left what was there

Looks great ... Question about the AC ... This is where I'm struggling is the window AC is normally those for windows. I can see yours like that too and the vents on the side of the AC will get covered on the wall? If you can give more details about the framing. That will be helpful. Also, great idea about the ceiling wood plank ... When you get a chance ... do you have a link of that product?
@The_Heights4 ай бұрын
Are you looking for a link on the AC unit? a.co/d/4s6qvAx The AC unit does have a vent on the backside to get rid of the hot air/water. The space between the vents in the front of the unit and the back of the unit fits perfectly inside my 2 x 4 wall the same way it would in between a window frame , if that makes sense and then it is completely foam sealed inside the 2 x 4 wall framing

Fantastic build btw. It's been another 6 months any issues with teh AC unit being inside the wall? Cause that unit looks amazing for my shed to office conversion
@The_Heights2 ай бұрын
There’s about a 4 inch section of the center of the unit that is solid. These are 2 x 4 framed walls. All of the venting hangs out the back of the building and all of the interior venting is on the interior… None of it is covered up. It all has room just as if it was in a window. The 2 x 4 section that frames out the actual unit is completely watertight and sealed …if that makes sense

This just happened to be the look we wanted, but it did make things a lot easier to manage since I was working alone
