For me, there should have been a separate utility room housing the washing machine. No one wants to be in their living space entertaining or watching TV, with the washer is banging away in the background. I wonder if the understairs area could house the washer/dryer area as a stacked unit, so it is out of your living space? Just my thoughts! Great refurb though!
