It is fantastic to have you here By the Way i am not making the video for advertising the apple.
I used the thin foil of 24 Karat Gold which was dissolved in Aqua regia.
I made the Nickel Strike adding Nickel Chloride with HCl.
I had great fun in making this video. This was my second try, I have already destroyed the same watch in aluminium body before making the video due to high concentration of acids and heat. After that I bought a new watch in stainless steel then I turned it into 24 Karat Gold.

What's the name of the white powder you have added to the boiled down gold in Aqua-Regia at 5:00 ?? Also, at 5:15 what's the actual chemical name for "Gold-Salt? Perhaps you should label your steps a better so others can understand it. And how come the sides of the watch doesn't have the marks of the wire that was holding it in the solution?? I understand how chemical plating works, but it doesn't stick where there's another metal pushing against the body of the watch. Thanks.

hey guys this isnt fake , its real and and no one cares about his effort in making it really and taking you step by step ,.And do you guys realize making a video much more difficult than you think , just imagine planning , execution , buying thing , setting things up recording video in a small shots , thinking how work flow goes , then comes making a good finished product , then next phase of editing , thinking which clips to show , deleting useless clips, then adding clips together also adding transitions and finally watching the video again and again to remove part and making a raw video of 45min to 12 min so you can watch without getting bored , and then rendering it to make a final product video , After all that uploading is another world , like a perfect name ,tags description , thumbnail, all that effect your views count ,Also now a day people are getting very low views count i don't why so respect someones effort guys .

Why wouldn't it work? Good watches are made to be water resistant to several meters of water pressure at least. Dunking one in a glass of liquid wont break the seal. The only question would be if the rubber seals are affected by chemicals. Nickel choride with a very small amount of HCl, probably not. The gold solutions he didn't mention what they were so I can't say since I'm no expert at gold plating but still, not too surprised. As for affecting the glass...that stuff is used to hold all sorts of nasty chemicals, should not affect the glass at all.

Remember he did say he destroyed an aluminium watch before using the stainless steel one. Dips finger into Hydrochloric acid and Nitric acid then boils it and finally connects up to electricity and electrocutes whats left after the acids and boiling...Look ma! Electroplating is very thin, something like less than 1 micrometer. The engraved lettering is thousands of times deeper than that so no way is the new plating going to cover up the lettering. Knob not plated could be because its either a different materiel (not stainless steel or not conductive?) or more likely not electrically connected to the rest of the case so the electro-plating did not include the knob.

do you know how much that gold he had in the glass beaker is worth? it’s probably the best part of an ounce give or take. probably a $1000 of gold. the process is easy and anyone can do it. you need to get the gold and that’s the expensive part.
