So hard to narrow down the 80s, but 81 was a real big one for me for sure.

Good year indeed. Alot of really good stuff came out that year. Good picks! :) Best of luck in the draw.

Thanks. It was hard deciding for sure, as so many years where major influences could be mentioned

Hey Jeff! You’ve got a lot of good stuff from 1981! I enjoyed hearing your own personal stories about these albums. I’ve got the first MSG album as well as Assault Attack but none others. I like MS’s guitar playing. I need to get Mob Rules because I really like Dio. Great Rush album! Moving Pictures is so awesome. Triumph, nice! Good luck in the contest Jeff!

Hey Jeff! Seems like things are back to good with my channel, but thanks so much for entering this! 1981 has been a popular year for sure, especially for the hard rock/metal heads out there. Happy to say I have most of these. Me not having that second MSG album is criminal though! I share the story sometimes about being in my high school band and opening up for MSG back in 2009 at a now defunct club in Cleveland. He's always been important to me and those records are so good, although I've missed out on that one! Thanks for jumping on this and the support - you are entered my friend!

Glad to hear your back, thanks for watching, and yes, get that MSG.

My answers back in 1983 Pyromania Back then I liked Turbo more I never had British steel on cassette Today I like both albums High ndry and Pyromania maybe High n dry by a drop or maybe Pyromania by a drop. Today because it's an older album although both are great albums I will go with Point of Entry.

I feel the same way about Pyromania and HND, they are both so close, it depends on the day which is choose.

Great Ac/dc- For those about to Rock Black Sabbath Mob rules , sweet Def Leppard high n dry , Duran Duran - Rio Foreigner -4 Iron Maiden killers Judas Priest- Point of Entry kix Krokus- hardware Michael Shenker - 2nd album Michael Schenker at - Budkan Motley Crue to fast for love Ozzy Osbourne- Diary of a mad man Raven - Rock till you drop Riot - Fire down under , Rush - Moving Pictures Saxon - Denim and Leather Sammy Haggar- Standing up Triumph - Allied Forces Van Halen- Fair warning so at that time period early 80's which album did you like better High n Dry or Pyromania? so on the back of the cd it says Blizzard of Oz was released in 1981 but if you look in the magazines it says 1980 and somebody told me also 1980 do you know why the cd says 1981? which album in the 80's do you like better Point of Entry or Turbo? did you have British Steel on Cassette? now in todays time I don't mean 2024 I mean around the time You tube became hopping like you see album rankings lots of comments say around 2015 or so which album do you like better High n dry or Pyromania? Today Lately which album do you like better Point of Entry or Turbo? so the 70's had lot's of great albums Zeppelin - Zoso , Sabbath Paranoid , Aerosmith Toys,, Lynyrd skynyrd - pronounced Kiss to many to name first 2 Van Halen albums - Queen - News of the world, Judas Priest Sad wings. but for one year the most I have on cd is 1983 Dio - Holy Diver Iron Maiden- Piece of mind Motley crue - Shout at the d e v i.l Metallica - Kill em all Def Leppard- Pyromania somethings wrong I don't know why I count 5 for 1983 and 6 for 1981 1981 and 1983 are nose to nose I still think somethings wrong on my side I'm missing an album from 1983?

At the time of their release, I think I liked Pyromania more. I probably still do, but since we overplayed it so much then, I tend to now listen to High N Dry more often. Not sure if that means I like it better or just am not tired from overplaying it....yet :)The first three are still favorites in their catalog. I'm not sure on the release date issue with Ozzy. Sometimes the are recorded and printed to release like by the end of one year, but then get held up and actually don't hit the market until into the new year. Sometimes they get released in one marker/country, and then later in another. I've seen a few releases that hit the overseas market one year, but didn't get a US release until a couple years later. I like Point of Entry over Turbo, just because it is so nostalgic for me, being one of the first I discovered them at. I listened to Turbo real recently, because of getting that on vinyl, and it is good, but Point of Entry is more solid thru and thru imo. You mention having more CDs in 83, and see that was the other year I considered covering. Because while 81 saw (for me) the discovery of so many new and great bands that stuck with me, I think in 83 there were much more great releases and ever other new bands that because a staple in my music life. So it was tough choosing one over the other. I do not own much of anything on cassette, simply a few obscure things never on CD.
