As a patient that has many surgeries (not elective, or cosmetic) it is EXTREMELY important to have a *POSITIVE* outlook before, during, and after the fact. Those people trying to help you don't deserve to be berated and brought down by misery and poor-me left and right. Dr. Stone's point on mentality assisting recovery and longevity of play (especially the part about addicting yourself to your sport) is especially true for skateboarders. The only way to continue willingly throwing yourself at concrete and injuring yourself constantly is to be addicted in such a capacity. Tony Hawk is obviously the most well known example, but there are plenty other skateboarders in his generation that are still riding too. Are they in their prime? Definitely not. But their bodies put up with an impressive amount of strain for someone of that age and I argue that this addiction to self improvement plays an important role in that since it is a fundamental part of skateboarding. There's a saying among skateboarders that goes "you dont stop skateboarding because you get old, you get old because you stop skateboarding."

I was lamenting that I may not be able to keep doing getting my cardio fix for much longer, now I feel more positive if I continue to be careful about what I eat and how I stretch. Turning back time, while a fascinating concept often explored in science fiction, poses significant challenges and paradoxes within our understanding of the cosmos. It raises questions about causality, the integrity of temporal sequences, and the stability of physical laws. If time travel were possible, how would it alter our comprehension of cosmic events and the fundamental nature of space-time?

The doctor forgot to add, when you run properly, you can run forever. Most people don't mid-sole land, which loads our entire system in to a spring and instead use heel striking, like they do with walking. Which is also bad even for walking, because you literally have to over come stopping every time you heel strike, which your joints bear the brunt of rather than your muscles when mid-sole landing.

I like how they challenge each other. In my opinion pro athletes obsess over their bodies because it's not just a sport. It's their job. A contract that they have to fulfill physically. I feel they are always thinking ahead of how they can always do better because the job is nothing but performance. I also totally agree. If you feed your body positivity it will react that way because you are kind of tricking your brain in a way.

I'm REALLY glad the doctor is going this route, as there are too many in his profession who think what you eat has NOTHING to do with your conditions. If they did, they'd be telling you what to do, rather than saying, sorry you will just have to keep coming back to make sure it doesn't get worse, rather than FIXING the problem. People have NO IDEA how much the human body wants to keep itself at peak performance, but the vast majority of people DO NOT fuel their bodies properly, what so ever. Heck, even some top athletes STILL eat fast food garbage, because they don't know any better. However, if you're on top of it and keep it up, consistently, you'll notice that your 'decline' isn't ANYWHERE near what people keep saying. Why is that? Because the VAST MAJORITY don't do the RIGHT THINGS to begin with! So of course you're going to hear all the qualms of those who choose to go down the easy road, only to find out that it's not very easy on the body, at all. The only problem with our society, is everyone has been conned and we all know the adage 'It's easier to con someone than it is to convince them they've been conned in the first place.' I mean, why does this specific group just keep getting larger(pun intended)? Why do the diseases that plague our society keep getting worse and more widespread, not just in areas of the west anymore? Weird, how one diet, is taking over the world and destroying it all at the same time. Go Westerners! =P

Kevin is on point. Alot is going to go above there heads. 66 days since I quit Weed , Alcohol, Cigarettes and Fast Food. Like James Brown once said, "I feel good."😁 I can't wait to hit 100 days. And all it took was me to take myself serious. To think healthy to perform healthy.. a lot of ppl are just lnot caring of themselves foreal so they can't access these levels. It's a bitter truth. When you hear it ppl will feel lesser or think you talking down but your not it's the truthm they just don't see themselves and don't see themselves as being healthy on that level. If they took the thought serious they would actually do the thought. But most won't they take the easy route. It's actually pretty simple logic.
@SettaXY3 жыл бұрын
Kevin is telling what ppl aren't wanting to hear because in the end they realize they doing poorly at treating there body. They are a race care puting Kool aid in the gas tank. Ppl see others do poorly so they think it's normal and ok. It's bare minimum. So you get bare minimum results. . Then the racer comes and says your car broke because of how you treat it. It starts mentally then ends physically. But everyone wants an excuse to think the bare minimum they do is normal so they feel emotionally good about themselves. That's all. That's the difference between elite. Elite will take it in raw. They see the bad as motivation to get over. Lesser see it and run from it looking for a reason to make it ok. So many mental blocks ppl create for themselves. This why medicine is made for ppl with mental blocks that won't actually practice being healthy. They have to go to Dr cause they don't teach themselves. They don't learn themselves. They don't actually care for themselves..they pay others to do that.
