Okay, all jokes aside, their drawing methods are pretty similar to the way they making music. It is more interesting when you compare this episode and the requiem / sabre dance recreation episodes. Eddy started from building overall structure, organise, and then went into detail. The main idea looks a bit blurred imo, but i think he could make it clearer if he had more time. On the other hand, Brett went straight into expression his main idea. It looks bit chaotic but quite clear. He seemed to draw on a whim, just following the idea in his head. Well done, boys! @@sam-ly4gn Maybe they meant Vltava (Moldau) because Smetana (another famous Czech composer) composed a piece dedicated to this river. What I think about their painting is that they really represent their personalities. Eddy matured into a type of dude who thinks logically therefore his painting seems to be more straightforward (with one artistic motif in mind). On the other hand, Brett's visualization of the piece is actually wider in a sense that he cannot express himself, or the idea in his head, through a still image, in which he needed to continuously change something throughout the painting process. I really love the way they interpreted the New World Symphony through colors and imagery! I want part two! 😍 How about they do an artpiece showing how they would visualize Tchaickovsky's and Sibelius' Violin Concertos? I can't even stop smiling while thinking about it hihihi 😂💗

As an art teacher who has reconnected with classical music during the pandemic, i enjoyed this episode. I really loved how Eddie went for the objective and Brett went into the non objective realm. If Eddie had no formal training or experience with painting, he did an excellent job creating the illusion of depth and keeping his colors in the same key. With a little more training he would've made a great impressionist painter. Brett's painting was exciting to watch evolve, and had he been painting in my classroom I would've been over his shoulder making him pull more from his sub conscious. The red brushstrokes were representative as spiritual totems I was hoping he would've had more time to work on. Brett would definitely be at home among the post war abstract expressionist painters! Would definitely love to see more paintings videos in the future.

I don’t play any instruments or even listen to classical. I used to like classical music when I was young and I still enjoy hearing it now…just I am not actively seeking it out. This channel got recommended to me after searching some piano tutorial stuff. And I have literally been binge watching all your videos 😂 you guys are too entertaining and interesting.

WHY YOU GUYS ARE SO TALENTED!!!!!!!!!! i love eddy's colors and brett's design!!!! THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!

Wow Eddy’s is quite beautiful, actually. His use of texture and color blending is on point, and his attempt at shadowing on the tree is quite well done. I really like it. Brett’s is original and expressive, which makes it quite interesting. Great job, guys!!

I’m actually surprised how well Eddy can paint. Brett’s style is really cool too. :D

It felt so pure how they almost teared up hearing the first movement because that‘s exactly my reaction as well when listening to beautiful pieces but especially Dvořák 9. It‘s a very emotional symphony for me because I would say it’s the piece that got me into classical music and I have so much appreciation for it. Seeing how they reacted almost the same way I do made me feel so seen, and I also got a kind of calming, serene feeling of deep, personal human connection and now I‘m just in awe of what music can do and how it can connect people

what version of the symphony played in the back?

This is very profound, thanks for sharing your thoughts, it's so beautiful to translate your feelings through music. I am fond of analyzing people's feelings and now that you have described them through this masterpiece, it is even more beautiful. It is also the piece that got me into classical music. I tend to translate my feelings through painting and I remember that I heard this symphony somewhere and I could not stop thinking about the feelings it trapped me in, so that I sat by my canvas thinking about what on earth I had just heard, a solemn moment in my entire life. when I was struck by the beauty this symphony holds in itself.✨

Haha Brett being like it’s all brown. He’s discovered that when you unevenly mix yellow, blue, and red (primary colors) it does turn brown. I like both paintings

I lost it when eddy was doing a long explanation on the motif of his painting and Brett just went "same here"

I really really hope this will become a series. It’s so relaxing and cool to watch people paint and see their styles emerge. And creating paintings inspired by specific pieces of music? Amazing concept. 👌🏽 You guys were really good. I loved this! ☺

The two paintings next to each other look like the landscapes of the meme with the two guys on the bus where one is happy and the other one is depressed.

As someone who paints a lot, it was very entertaining to watch Brett Ross and Eddy Van Gogh paint. I also wonder what type of paint they used

Lol at the names! I've watched Bob Ross - didn't know he was that well known!

Their art is actually amazing what lol If you do this a next time (you definitely should) don't limit yourself too much with time! Art takes times and it can be very relaxing, just seeing those splashes of colour combine and create something it's like magic, like how individual notes create a melody. Good job guys!

As an art student and Czech, this was so much fun:) Thanks for sharing Dvořák's music, and I love that you approached your painting both - as fun as well as another valuable way of expressing thoughts and feelings.

This is how I listen to classical music! Reading, walking, anything I’m doing when I hear a magical phrase or phrasing I’ll stop and go “aww”. I felt that!

oh L. Davinci and michelangelo here. These two masterpieces are very good and you both did justice to the symphony as well. The price of those two will almost reach a strad's value.

Ahoj! As a Czech person, I: a) had fun imagining what an offended Czech noise is b) learned another name for my country (did Eddy say Czechoslavia? :D As long as it's not Chechnya, it's fine, I guess :D ) c) agree that the Czech countryside can look like this I also absolutely loved Brett's explanation. Isn't the pond a reference to Rusalka, another work by Dvořák? ;)
@aralka013 жыл бұрын
Same, I was thinking about Rusalka there too!

as an artist the sacrilege lies not in mixing directly on the palette (that's what it's for, after all) but in just putting that much paint on it the paintings themselves are quite lovely! really feeling your personalities in each one

The surprise that you guys bring me in every new video is HUGE!! You guys are literally more than KZbinrs, but real artists for sure!! I'm in awe. Also I wonder whether awesome violinists have a born talent of painting too, since Chloe paint, and Hilary Hahn paint. After today's video, I believe with some proper training, Brett and Eddy can reach some level of painting in no time!

Agree! And many poets are artists and/or musicians as well - It's taken me till now to discover my skill in music ... mebee not 'skill' yet.. Let's call it aptitude!
