I think it would be cool to include just the line where she says "This is gonna sound stupid, but I broke up with my boyfriend that morning..." (can't remember the exact line) as a voiceover when we see her in class, because not only is it going to prepare us for a new character and set up their relationship, but it's going to tell more about Kady, which is going to be really beneficial for the viewer and the storytelling This is such a cool idea, excited to see more of it!

I also used that program when I took my screenplay class 😬 tbh I didn't enjoy the experience that much lol but it was so cool to learn anyway. Illuminae would be so hard to adapt because of its format 🤔 Part of me would want to just do away with it as much as possible and just tell the story. But if the interviews/videos/etc. get sacrificed to make it all a visual story unfolding before our eyes, then it kind of betrays the source material at the same time. Also, kudos for just jumping into the script!! 😵 I find scripts so hard and technical to write that I can't do it without having some general outlines. I look forward to seeing your progress. This is such a cool, fun, refreshing video 👍

I just started the book yesterday and I'm super into movies and writing, so Imma be watching this series carefully. Stopped at the 2 minute mark cuz spoilers, but this sounds like it's gonna be a lot of fun! Gonna be back when I'm done with the book.

Okay, i'm back after reading the book. I loved it, it was really unique and gripping! I think this is a great thing, what you are doing here! The book format can set back the adaptation of it in parts, but it also helps a lot, especially with dialogue. I do agree with you on the endless changes book-to-movie adaptations suffer from, but I do get some, in order to make the movie work (take Ready Player One for example). Others, like budget restraints, are the devil :/ I really liked this. For me, I'd rearrange the scene right at the beginning, mentioning the illuminae files; maybe add a character, working for beitech, have him or her read Kady's email (to keep identity secret) to someone (unseen) and have that as a setup for the movie, ending the scene with the movie title. As I was watching this, some movies came to mind, with elements that could inspire the writing: Star Wars (obvs xD), especially Rogue One and it's link to A New Hope, dealing with a side protecting a file and another behind them for the same reason; Eagle Eye and the latest Power Rangers (no, really), dealing with AI, could be useful for AIDAN later on. That's all for now from me, and I can already see it may be too much xD sorry about that, I get excited about these things. Best of luck with this, can't wait to see next episode. Did you abandon this project? I don't see a Part 2 in your video list. For the title page, written by would be your name, then on the line beneath your name it should say "Based on the novel ILLUMINAE" new line "by" new line: the book author's name.
