Ok this looks way to flawless. If anything you saved Jakks the work. I mean if Jakks ever makes their own Darkspine, you should definitely compare yours to theirs! Also I love how you used 3D printing to make it because that’s genuinely more interesting instead of just swapping parts from other figures.

Mobians always not have toes since SA1. Before SA1, in SEGAsonic arcade, when you fall as Ray, his shoes falls out from his feet, showing his paws feet.

Nope, Darkspine Sonic is the only one of Sonic's many Super forms that's fully nude as you can see his hands and toeless feet.

For a good sanding method, I'd suggest using small sanding needles and/or sanding sticks on the surfaces where everything rubs and the discs - or just do what I do and sand them with sandpaper. Slightly cutting away at the area where the joints connect on the torso helps too, which is what I've learned from customising Marvel Legends figures.

A few tips for you from another customizer; the scotch-tape hack is nothing new. Try packing-tape; you can even cut it into smaller pieces! Also; whatever kind of tape you use, make sure to press it as flat as possible. Maybe even doing it in layers. Lots of other customizers often paint on a "base"-layer fist, and then add details with each successive layer, coating it in sealant each time. Just a few ideas though; every project has its own requirements. Good luck anyway! =)

So does Vallejo paint adhere to the rubbery plastic of the Jackk's limbs? I've been trying to make a modern Mighty figure and have been stuck at the painting stage for a while now. With and without primer, the Tamiya acrylic flat black paint I've tried applying to the Sonic body just doesn't adhere very well, just rubbing my fingernail against it makes it scrape right off with little effort.
