The mountain of hankerchiefs thing is cheesy as all heck, but at the same time, I can't help but love it. Despite his very showy display of defeating Erazor Djinn, Sonic understands why Shahra is upset, and that her feelings are perfectly valid, so he helps her by just saying, "It's okay. I'll help you through this." Just plain good writing.

*100% Correct here.* Cheesy, but genuine and heartfelt. Especially when comparing it with the Sonic Prime series going on on Netflix. Great show, and everyone else agrees. However, one thing I don't see people mention is how a lot of the dialogue and the style tends to be a bit bland.. sometimes a bit childish.. and other times... *asscrap.* Like, some of the lines in the show were either _just_ generic or corny enough to give me PTSD of that horrendous "dumb-it-down-for-kids" style-dialogue you see in Sonic Lost World and Sonic Colors. If anything.. Sonic's dialogue and lines in The Black Knight and The Secret Rings are both a hundred times better than what I've seen so far in Sonic Prime's first 8 episodes. However, I only mean _strictly_ the dialogue. Rest of the show is pretty great.

I love how this game and black knight are parallels yet similar. This game is sonics tenacity and brutality showing with his sheer power alone. Black knights is more about teamwork and honor. Well technically Sonic Adventure came out in 1998 and some bosses in the classic era were legit nightmare fuel (Sonic Spinball egg spider abomination), you are right. Little tip for anyone trying out this boss nowadays- when you kick the big energy sphere back at him, charge up your Soul Gauge a little bit while it’s doing that and Speed Break into his heart- it does a tiny bit more damage and if done consistently allows you to finish the boss in one less cycle if memory serves.
