your winged eyeliner is good! I'm an eyeliner fiend so here's a few tips that really help me: you want the eyeliner to go upwards (but not straight up like the mom of augustus from charlie and the chocolate factory's eyeliner) and follow the natural trajectory of your lower lid. try using a light eyeshadow or eye pencil and sketching out how you want the wing to look, it's much easier to wipe off eyeshadow than inky black eyeliner. and, figure out your eye shape and watch tutorials on what shape of line you should use for your eye shape.

The reason the cateye shape looks a lil weird is bc you have hooded eyes like me! There r several methods ppl with hooded eyes use to get it right, just look up "eyeliner for hooded eyes" n so many vids will pop up. I'm still working on it myself but I guess I just have to keep practicing.

I relate to that eyeliner prob so hard. Alissa Ashley’s video on how she does her winged liner help me to figure out some tips. Now I’d say only 1/5 times do I end up with a full ass mess where the liner just totally takes over my eye, a real improvement.

I might be wrong but you may have an easier time with winged eyeliner if you kind of connect it with your lower lashline instead of your top. If you angle the eyeliner so it's more like this / than this - it may work out better for you
