I guess I'm mostly just talking abt the ppl who like, make the whole "cutesy, wholesome, good vibes only uwu" their entire personality. Makes it seem like they compensating for something (or they wanna lure in ppl to bully) also I didn't expect this to be a rant, sorry about that! (^ ^')

I don't know if it's the fabric alone or if they also got some super quality stuffing but they are soooo huggable. I have a big one of grogu that I basically use as a pillow. They really earned the "squish" in their name

I'd like to mention that since squishmallows are such a big trend, there's bound to be some rude/hostile people. Most people I've seen/met that are into squishmallows are pretty chill. Also I actually have a Reginald! (They're actually the one that someone on the wiki dubbed as 'anime Reginald' because the Valentine's Day squishmallows have different eyes)

I'm not even into frogs - Squish or AC, but I'd die for Phillipe the villager. The Squish version is very popular, but he had one release so he's hard to get, so Wendy is the main frog representative lol. All these villagers are adorable and I'd love to see more. My votes are Cinda the pumpkin spice cat, Cam the cat, Harrison the dog, Farryn the deer, Leonard the lion, Belton the new lemon bear, Brooke and Omar the bears, Noodles the duck in a chicken costume, Adabelle the new strawberry frog, and Strawberry Reshma the cow (be careful in cow territory, that's where the biggest toxicity is lol). And for funsies, maybe one of the Squish-Doo abominations (but I low-key kinda like some of them). And yeah, Squish people are either the nicest people ever or the most toxic, depends on what side you land on. Just look into the strawberry Hot Topic cow debacle. Hot Topic locations now don't post about drops.

They bought plushies to cope instead of going to therapy, becoming unhealthily attached to them to the point of feeling personally attacked by the slightest hint at an insult. I've left several plush collector groups because of stuff like that, but it made me take my butt to my sessions so I don't become them.

Not all collectors are coping with collecting them..a good amount just find them cute so they collect them, but it can occasionally lead to hostility as every collecting community has those hardcore collectors who will absolutely drag you through the dirt if you don't agree their favorites are the best or more expensive 😅It never looked like a coping issue but just a jerk collector issue. Also, not going to therapy won't magically turn into one of them, you have to be them to become them..if you're generally a nice person you shouldn't have to worry about going feral on someone for not agreeing that Renard is the best or something

I was just normal grocery shopping one day and I really love plushies, so I noticed this stand with some squishmallows and I was like "woah, they are cute :o And soft!!!" so I bought Bowie the Hedgehog and I told a friend about it and they were like "Oh, I know them, they are super popular!" and I was like...
