very experimental track made in FL Studio using the amen break. thats it. no other sounds, only the amen break.
(and vital for synthesis with a load of effects and such but whatever the only source sound is the amen break, and also i have no idea what im doing)
ever since virtual riot released death by amen break ive been seeing a lot of people experimenting with absolutely mutilating the amen break to make cool and creative stuff :O so i wanted to try something too and thus this cursed mess of noise was written (~o ̄3 ̄)~
i dont know why i tried this with zero knolwedge of making dubstep i know it sounds terrible T^T in my defense amen break is very not ideal for dubstep style drums (¬_¬)
thanks for listening i suppose :D
also i have a discord server if you want to join / discord

This is a cool experiment but you did not make dubstep lol, the bpm is still 160 which is firmly DnB territory. You basically made Wub n Bass which is still pretty much DnB. Try building on this in 140 bpm which is where dubstep lives you've got the right sounds, but the structure and tempo is way too fast for what you're trying to make
@solare-ost
@solare-ost 11 ай бұрын
:O thats interesting i didnt know that dubstep specifically uses 140 bpm (somehow i never really associated genres with tempos in the past), thank you for the helpful feedback! i'll remember to get it right next time (~ ̄▽ ̄)~
@OfficiallyMaidenless
@OfficiallyMaidenless 11 ай бұрын
@@solare-ost All good, I'd actually like to see what you do at 140. Also for reference most EDM subgenres are defined by their bpm, like house for instance being 120-130 generally speaking, DnB and it's subgenres have a lot of room though, ranging between 150 to 180. Funny enough dubstep first started because ravers thought Jungle was too fast and flashy, they wanted deep bass sounds and a slower tempo. I think what you're going for is closer to Drumstep/Brostep/2010s Dubstep than the original deep dubstep from the UK but the tempo is like the one thing that remains very consistent for dubstep of any description. It's to the point where some people literally refer to it as 140 xD
