Yeah I definitely want to see more, I love the scale of this diorama. I think you are right about lifting the vampire up a little more, the art work uses the presence of her to show she's what you should be focusing on and I think you are going to have to do that with only light and color because she doesn't take up 30% of the viewing space like she does in the artwork. I'm super excited to see how far you can take this

Fantastic, I really hope you finish this through the painting process. Just a tiny bit of cc, I think you should redo the head of the vampire, maybe use an elf head and sculpt the hair if need be. Oh and maybe a few more zombies, skellies and ghouls.

PLEASE make this into a series. One of the things that I think you do best is explaining your mental process through a project or paint job. It makes your work far more real than other makers that present a video where everything is perfect and there's no creative process involved.

This is such a beautiful diorama. Can't wait to see the follow up videos where you finish and paint it! If I may give my opinion, I feel like the tree with the grinning face (and the rock as a base for the roots) creates "too much" symmetry with the other big tree. Maybe replacing it with more zombies to create that hord feeling and use the other one with the bats to create some point of verticality, by lining up the bats in an ascending cloud going to where the previous tree is right now. In my mind this would really frame the vampire. I hope you don't mind my 2 cents, ever way I'm all in for this serie! Love your work!

Looks great! I think that you might want to consider removing the larger tree that is directly behind the model from your ideal perspective. I think that the hard silhouette of the vampire and the wolf shouldn't be too cluttered from the main angle of the main shot, but I love how dynamic they make the rest of the scene. I would instead add a little more elevation and add even more zombies, and really drive home the idea that it is a shambling horde! Keep up the great work!

Watching artists/content creators make mistakes or decisions they wish they'd done differently is invaluable. When people who we all assume "know what they're doing" admit to screwing up, we all learn from it. For that, I salute you!

As some what of a diorama enthusiast myself 😅😅😅. Honestly trying to stick to artwork for a diorama its DEFINITELY best to use that artwork as a suggestion, and I love how you followed that freedom and feeling to lead it in your own direction. Fantastic work as always really looking forward to this being finished 😊. Dioramas are such a freeing expression of this hobby for myself and every time I see another creator and one I love to watch especially create one I just get so excited 😆

Dioramas are something I would love to do more of, because they help us find something we don't normally think about with a lot of miniature wargames: a fun reason to try new art things. We get to a point where we have all the tools and skills to turn a model from bits of plastic into a tabletop quality army, sure, but when you mentioned the "Ideal viewing angle" and debating how true to the inspiration you wanted to be, that is exciting new ground. Would love to see more.

Its a cool idea. Vamps are my favorite. Personally I would have put all the big trees in the far background like the castle is in the artwork. Their scale makes them too uncanny to be in the foreground. Then add more zombies, so it looks like the flood of death in the picture.

I'd love to see more videos like this. There is so much more story telling in a diorama than just a single figure. It would be great to see you combine all your talents in kitbashing, painting and diorama building to create a small battle scene between two factions with some custom models. I understand that's probably 10 videos worth of work, so the juice might not be worth the squeeze, but I also believe folks would flock to something so unique. I appreciate that even as you grow as a channel you keep making real, craft forward videos and not just gimmicky bullshit like 'I hired this fivr guy to paint something'. You're a real one.

You really need to follow this series! Personally, I like the additions to the diorama, it's hard to make a 1 to 1 translation from illustration to diorama. When it is just one model, it's definitely easier, but with multiple models, it gets harder. But I'll say that I feel like this diorama would really benefit from more zombies and skeletons. Like they should be "crowding" the scene, and be somewhat underpainted so they dont steal so much attention from the vampire, but I really think the scene should be a bit more crowded to give that "horde" atmosphere. Kind of trying to get that "The Last Light" vibe from Roman Lapatt.

Looking really good! I personally would have tried to have the bannerman behind the Vampire just to give them some background behind them to contrast against. As it is right now, raised above the rest of the piece it will be contrasted against open sky, which you don't have. I suppose it's possible to put a painting there, but the banner would be a more permanent option, PLUS the bannerman is typically always beside the lord commander for reference in battle. I like the trees in the piece, but I do wonder at why there would be some cobbled path leading to a small outcrop of rocks that then has land all around it. It maybe needs some cobbles below it too, to show that the land is riven in some way, by dark powers, perhaps. In any case, this will look amazing when it is painted up, I'm sure

The reason I love this video is that it feels a bit more raw and kinda throws away the perfectionism you see online so often. This means you tend to explain things in ways that make more sense to me and give more actionable advice. I HIGHLY recommend that you show your failures as that is THE NUMBER ONE best way for us to all learn - its nearly more important that showing us what does work (Not saying this was a failure btw, the diorama looks great) So please do a follow up! Love your work

Good to hear your anguish in the build phase - I get this just painting basic minis! One idea would be to place larger, taller, gnarled trees lining the width of the back edge of the diorama - to create the effect of emerging from a dark forest (replacing the ominous castle in the original artwork). Great job 👍

I really like what you came up with. Cant wait to see it fully painted up. I would've gone with more verticality though. Really heighten the pedestal she's on. And I think completely covering the ground with zombies, like to the point of not even seeing the ground anymore. Probably have a more circular than oval shape too. I love the idea behind this.
