I'm so stressed about this upsurge in Barbie-core because I have picked out pink for my kitchen cabinets and I don't want it to be a passe trendy mess in two years...or maybe I do...then I have an excuse to do my kitchen again :D Used a bright yellow beaded sari from the thrift store to make a table cloth for my Mom's deck....it's a little Barbie style but I'll never tell Mom!

Genius! 🌟🐈🌟 Looking forward to the Oppenheimer thrift flip! My little brother used to make fun of my CND shenanigans and for Christmas when he was 11, he made me a 'cruise missile' from a 2 litre pepsi bottle. It opened at the bottom to reveal a bottle of bubble bath!! Pretty clever right? And one of my all time favourite gifts! 😂😂

“An Oppenheimer thrift flip”.🤣 I’ll be here for it! The purse is very Barbie, and the spice rack/plant stand really rocked the look, but the boom box is🔥🔥🔥. (On a side note, WHY wasn’t there a Barbie Spice? Maybe Barbie wasn’t as popular in Britain?) Baguette blocking shots was because Barbie always has DOGS, and cats everywhere are deeply offended. Or would be, if they cared. Which they definitely don’t. (disdainful tail swish, exit)

I am 62 and 10 months old. As a k8d I had a craft book titled MAKE IT AND USE IT...between that and my Mom's DIY'ness I have been making stuff out of stuff all my life. Retail give me hives thrifting and DIY give me joy ( making the moments of he'll worth it...most of the time😅). As an adult I used outdoor foliage for stencils and used sponges for anything but cleaning ( not DIY's best foot forward moments). All this to say we are kindred spirits in many ways...I talk to you as I watch your creative flow and "keepin' it real comments". One of my favorite dear moments was the closet redo you did with/for a pizzazzy woman who used a wheelchair. I can relate to that...( wow, that video just rolled on of you and Danelle...sweet). I am enriched that I discovered your Danel, your heart, diligence, dark humor...and Baguette...I love me some Baguette...she is her own woman-feline for sure! I am thankful for your spirit!!! Never allow for it to be dampened or tampered with. From 1 gal to another!

I had a "Workin' out Barbie" as a little girl (the Theresa version) which came with a cassette tape that had 2 songs on it. The workout song and the karaoke version on the reverse side and you BETCHO AZZ I knew the song well enough to sing the karaoke version without help lollll! Omg I need you to send that Barbie boombox back in the past to me in 1997 so I can have it while I played with my Barbie 😂😂 Your creations, as usual, are beautiful. Btw, you can use that messed up spray paint on something you actually wouldn't mind having that texture on. I bought a bottle of spray paint for a vase I wanted to recolor and it turned out to be a happy little accident when the paint gave it a stony, slightly gritty texture which made the vase look way fancier than I originally intended. So maybe your money doesn't have to completely go to waste if you haven't thrown it away yet.
