Many times we are our own worse critics; too hard on ourselves. These are nice bowls and well done. The mistakes you point out only give these pieces character. I’d much rather have something with character than something of perfection. With perfection, everything the same. Mistakes provide a one of a kind uniqueness. From my perspective you get five thumbs up based on character.👍👍👍👍👍

great work, I like the idea of using dowels for intersecting lines. I´ve been meaning to try something similar, except I didn´t want to make it so symmetrical. I thought that may be by drilling through the bowl at different angles I can get a more random pattern that looks good and can also hide some of the imperfections of the piece. Thanks for the tips and ideas and keep up the good work.

The constant pan through the construction scenes is really effective. Did you have some sort of dolly set up or do it all in post? The bowls look great - the video production is also impressive.

For drilling at compound angles, you've got to use an end mill. You could spot face with a equivalent diameter end mill to get the flat perpendicular surface and switch to a drill after.

+Adam Kraehling or a forstner bit then a regular bit. For woodworkers forstners are easier to obtain and serve other uses in the shop.

Interesting concepts. It wasn't lost on me how when you were gluing all of the segments, the video seemed to be turning...as if it were a bowl. Nice touch.

Your film-skills are of the hook. Is it a "natural talent" or how have you picked up this ability?
